Lucerys never wanted drift wood. Remember at Laena's funeral when he says he doesn't want it. The song Daemon was singing is a song of old Valaryia they used to sing to dragons. That dragon was not Daemon's dragon. That giant dragon that you said looks like a Dinosaur is Vhagar, the dragon of Aemon Edit: nvm you guys figured it out Interestingly, the biased Maester's account of the situation was that Aemon was planning to kill him when he chased Lucerys. In this episode we realise the truth is that Aemon just wanted to toy with him and accidently killed him. Halaena is not a shit kid, she is the only decent one. Anyways, awesome reaction to the finale!
