That's a gameplay vs story thing. The "stun" function isn't actually a stun, that's just how the game functions. On the MC, it's called "Gandr," which is why the Gandr is built into the MC in Hereafter.

Fair. But that means using Gandr would be a viable idea against Asterios. Or really any other magecraft, especially given he was sealed away by a mage.

Holy crap, wait a second: Wouldn't El Molloi II be able to say "yeah, EMIYA was in a grail war when he was younger"? Unless he's not saying anything because he knows EMIYA is a Counter Guardian and doesn't wanna make his life more difficult.
