I actually wasn't 100% where I wanted to start with this one. I thought about skipping forward, going with an interlude, and having Chapter XCII pick up the day after last chapter, but I think I can work with it like this instead.

I still really love your ability to capture these characters as not quite mortal. EMIYA is a snarky asshole because he's synchronizing with Rika.

So, question. In a lot of chapters when Taylor is Shifting back in time, she often remarks about how she is going to get her powers back. But...aren't her powers a persistent thing in Chaldea or the past?

No bugs in Chaldea. The place is ludicrously clean, curtesy of Da Vinci and all the magi who live there. There also aren't many bugs that can survive in the Antarctic tundra, so she has literally zero access to anything her powers work on. Functionally, while she's in Chaldea, she doesn't have them.

Would she be able to control tardigrades? They'd exist in Antarctica surely. Still, fair point. Just felt like odd wording, as if the Passenger was ripped out with every return to Chaldea.
