This weekend I've started teaching my nieces how to draw.If you're wondering, no I can't draw. But as a project manager, I had to learn a thing or two about art, and to that end, I've been watching art related videos for more than a decade.

It was time for me to put my accumulated art knowledge to a test, and see how much of it transfers to skill. In theory, I should know how a good drawing must look like, and how to construct one, all I have to do is start slow, and practice each line several times before committing to it.

And I'm happy to report that the result came out much better than I expected. It's not as good as what a real artist can draw. But starting with very light lines, and the help of my trusty eraser, I've managed to get pretty close.

Doing this exercise, I've learned few things:

- I need a better pencil. The one I have, draws messy and inconsistent lines.- I Should draw bigger. It's hard to draw small details like fingers in a tiny area.- I'm not good at drawing hair. I have a general idea of how hair flows, but when it comes to applying it, my hand doesn't follow my brain.- I need a scanner, pictures of a piece of paper always look dirty and somehow squished.Oh. I'm not drawing random things if you're wondering about the card image. I have a homemade card game idea in mind. But that's a story for another time because I have some coding to return to.
