krmine: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you said sometime in the past you're not a fan of anime... now onto a question about anime. Are there any that you like or recommend, and what kinds of things made you like those anime?
krmine: What are your favorite Souls-likes?
Patrick Reed: So, it feels like about once a month, I get to see a vid of a sinkhole appearing in a urban envioment. What is a sinkhole? and do you know how they happen?
Rod Anderson: What are your favorite national parks or forests in California? Have you been to any outside California, especially the big geological wonders like Grand Canyon or Bryce Canyon?
Luna: I think I remember you mentioning House of Leaves. Did you read it and if so, what's your opinion about it? Do you like experimental literature in general, literature that plays with the medium and its rules?
Sasha: Another Q&A question, you can put it in the fridge next to the House of Leaves one if you haven't read it yet. I'd love to hear your opinion about the Area X trilogy from Jeff Vandermeer. The books have such a particular style about them that seems to be very divisive. The way of storytelling makes a lot of people angry and other people love it. I get the reasons why people dislike it, but I personally like it a lot; it's something different, fits the story and makes for a more interesting read. I promise I won't be sad if you don't like it. :) Have a good one!
Moist: I'm asking this as someone that exists in between utter moron and person that has played a video game. The columnar joining stuff. It seems modern games are rotten with this and I'm wondering if it's due to player movement. I don't know that you really strafe too much in games now, so a player's movement is a hexagonal grid (forward, backward, forward-left, forward-right, etc). Are games just using that player movent on a field paradigm and messing with the physics to create interesting objects? They all tend to be hexagonal.
