Alright, Progress Log time! To say that we’ve been overwhelmed is an understatement. There’s been a lot of administrative work going on and we’ve been spread a bit thin. Here’s what’s been happening.

Hazel’s and Rua’s Homes/Shops

Doku’s gone and whipped up some proper homes/shops for Hazel and Rua. These have already been assembled in game and are going to be part of the next update.

First up, Hazel's shop. We're going for a small but welcoming look for her place. She technically lives in her shop, so the interior will double as her living space.

Rua's home on the other hand is more of a workshop. It took a bit of elbow grease to assemble these as usual with things like setting up collision and what not, but they do look much better than the barren town we had.

A few parts of this home are reusable for other things, like the door and logs.

Story work, making use of a new tool.

Both Crystal Road and Project Cappuccino 2 have had some major story work done on them. I've recently started using an app called Milanote to organize our work and it's godsend if you do any kind of creative stuff.

The entirety of Crystal Road’s plot is outlined and we’re on track to introduce Nai up next.

Each one of these boards is setup to contain a breakdown of quests and events that happen in any particular chapter. The monkey indicates when the player should feel rewarded during gameplay. Too many gaps without a monkey neuron activating, and the game will probably need some spicing up in that part.

As for Project Cappuccino 2, three of the four routes for the new characters have also been outlined. The only one left to finish is Rosaria’s, which is currently about 40% done.

The full written dialogue for the stories comes later when actually implementing things into the game, since there are certain nuances to the way characters talk, and writing it out on paper is a lot different than plugging it into nodes with player responses and what not.

Steam Work

The following things have been a BIG time sink but after much discussion, we decided it had to get done.

Crystal Road’s Steam page is currently being setup. Despite the game being far from finished, we need to start working the algorithm in our favor. This means building up as many wishlists as possible so that Steam doesn’t flush us into the abyss when launch time finally comes.

We’ll be notifying you guys when the page is live, but we are also considering early access options, depending on how development continues. Project Capp has also received a small bit of polish on the store page as we gear up to have more eyes on our games in the coming months.

Mascot Work

Lastly, we’re moving forward with the mascot plan! You can expect some news on her in the coming week since we'll be revamping our page with her.

That's all for now!
