Progress Log 12/31/21 - Animations, Side Characters and Succubus Lore (Patreon)

It’s been a hectic week and Christmas celebrations have eaten up some of our time. However, we managed to keep work moving along.

Main Cast Animations Completed

Rosaria and Charlotte had a few animations that needed work. These have all been completed so all of the new characters are good to go!

Charlotte’s Frenzy mode has unsettling movements and little animation mistakes lend themselves well to her jittery state.

Angry Charlotte is boiling with rage and squeezes her titties out of stress.

We made sure to give Rosaria some hip movements since it plays a little into her backstory. Not to mention that her art lends herself well to swaying animations.

Let’s Talk about Side Characters!

We’ve shown the new minotaur shop keeper Labrys in the past, but there are a few others that will play a role within characters route.

This meek succubus is Mabie. She’ll be part of Rosaria’s route and play a big role in her character development.

Before giving some more info on Mabie, we need to cover the different tiers of succubi. As succubi grow more powerful, they ascend through various forms, eventually reaching the much contested status of Succubus Queen. The ranks are as follows.

Ranks:

Novice Succubus - Mabie is here

Rarely have any kind of power or magical abilities.

Tend to be simple in appearance

Do not have any wings

Sometimes don’t even have horns

Cannot levitate

Standard Succubus - Mira is here

Magic pertaining to their domain becomes usable but may not be very powerful. Rely mostly on their natural charm or innate abilities. Charming magic becomes a reliable ability.

Appearance becomes much more sexualized.

Can shapeshift their body to a realistic extent. (IE. Make boobs bigger, change hair on the fly, etc.)

Can sometimes have wings, though they tend to not be impressive.

Can levitate.

Arch Succubus - Rosaria, Mana, Yani, Charlotte are here.

Powerful magic pertaining to their domain becomes available.

Can drastically shapeshift their body, even to the point of taking on the appearance of someone else.

Most have wings and levitation.

Succubus Queen - Rosaria USED to be here and there can only be one.

Extremely powerful magic pertaining to their domain becomes available. Rosaria for example had various conjuring abilities and created her own paradise in the domain of Conjuration.

Gain the ability to shapeshift other’s bodies and not just their own. (Dangerous since it can be used against someone’s will.)

Wings are practically guaranteed and usually majestic.

Fertility control over all other succubi. Succubi are infertile and have a womb hex indicating this, however the succubus queen is the only one that can dispel it and allow a succubus to breed. (Rarely done, Charlotte’s mother did this on herself.) The mark can also be placed at will on humans.

Mabie has been at the lowest rank of succubi for an extremely long time, and it’s up to Rosaria to catch her up to where she should be. By this point in her succubus career, she should already be at arch-succubus tier!

Game Design and Public Reveal Planning

Aside from animation work, we’ve been working on some game design documents as well as planning the public reveal of the game.

There will be various public announcements about the game as development goes on but we’re going to need to make the public aware that it’s being worked on if we want to make it through the next year. Things like the roadmap, a playable build and fancy promo material are all on our plate.

We’re currently aiming to have it revealed in January, so the next two weeks are going to be insanely busy for us.
