Progress Log 9/20/22 - Last Summer Log! (Patreon)

The end of Summer is here and we’re squeezing in one last progress log. As we mentioned in the past one, the Steam review process has shaken up our work load and we’ve restructured our plans a little bit. We’ll start off by talking about what we’ve been working on and then jump into the changes that are coming about due to Steam.

Climaxing Improvements

Climaxing was in a rough spot and we’ve made some improvements based on feedback.

Climaxing in any scene now causes cum to stay on a character instead of disappearing. This can be washed off using the hose toy, but it should be a fun addition for those that are into bukakke.

UI Improvements

In order to increase the functionality of some toys, the toy button has had a few more things added to it.

Some toys will have a speed setting to adjust how fast they thrust. Other will have the option to put them on the left or right breast in order to mix and match things like clamps.

Climaxing can now be done inside or outside depending on the toy being used. The Male Penis has both of the options.

Using the same cum mechanics, the toy now shoots a load and then players can decide if they want to leave it on or clean it off.

Character Arousal

This one made it into the last build we released, but characters now have a hidden arousal stat that determines how we they get, along with things like blush and bated breath. In the gif above, Rosaria starts dripping and it forms a puddle on the surface it comes into contact with. Like other fluids, this puddle can be cleaned up using the hose, but a character will continue to get wet if they are turned on.

The mechanics behind the puddles are pretty interesting. They basically work by detecting particle collision and doing something in response to said collision. In the puddles case, it grows in size and makes a small splash at the point of contact. The cum on the other hand appears instantly as soon as it lands on a target surface.

Work Restructure Due to Steam Review

Now onto the Steam part. Steam requested that we submit a playable version of the game for review before our page even goes up. This build must contain content that we deem is suitable for adults only. Basically anything hardcore or adult in nature. Because of this, we’re going to be front-loading what we think are some of the more extreme or out there scenes that we had planned for Project Cappuccino 2. We figure that if they greenlight these scenes, then it’s smooth sailing for whatever else we add down the line. Please note that there are also some story CGs that will be made for this review but won’t be available in game yet. (Mana has a pretty fucked up backstory not gonna lie.)

Mana Fucks a Minotaur

Part of Mana’s route involves seducing a minotaur, and it’s not Labrys.

This will be an interactable scene like the Blowjob and Spank training and will be available in Free Play mode when it’s done until we’re able to plug it into the story.

Yani in the Public Use Stall

Yani gets into some trouble throughout her route as well and ends up in a public use stall.

I doubt that there will be too much of a problem with this one on Steam’s end, so if it’s taking too long to move through work, we’ll put this one back on the shelf until it’s time comes.

Gallery Implementation

Last but not least, the game’s gallery is being implemented. There’s a ton of artwork that we’ve made and we would prefer for that to be in the review build for Steam.

The gallery will work similarly to how it did in Project Cappuccino 1, only that this time, we have a curator character and many more tabs to work with.

Siyu is a clairvoyant that will allow you to trade in character tokens or straight up buy them for those of your choice. If you have too many of one character but want art of another, then she’ll help you out. Her artwork may not be done in time for the Steam review but it shouldn’t be an issue since she’s pretty tame looking.
