Hey guys, just wanted to make this post to give you a heads up about some changes to our content release schedule.

Change from Constant to Flexible Releases

We’ve always pressured ourselves to keep a monthly build, community event and secondary art pack type of release every single month and it’s been taking a toll on us.

This month for example, we realized that we’re struggling to put together things for an art pack because the work has consisted of things that can’t be presented in one.

Doku sent me Charlotte’s missing ears yesterday, but we can’t exactly put out “Art Pack #12 - Ay lil’ Mama Lemme Whisper in Ya Ear”

So this left us thinking that we either push aside what we’re currently working on just to get fluff art out, or we switch to mixing things up. So unfortunately, this month won’t have an art pack.

Going forward, some months may have an art pack, while others will have things like the community sketch events. We will still be aiming to have a game build every month but if it’s looking like mostly bug fixes without any meat, we may also need to push those to the next month to have it be worthwhile.

We want to do a larger variety of things

There’s some stuff like doujins that we’ve wanted to try our hand at but never really get a chance to due to the pressure of everything we do having to revolve around being marketable. We hope that by switching to a more flexible release schedule, we can explore some of these things without having to force them into the monthly schedule.

Avoiding Burnout

Lastly, we hope that by changing up the routine that we can avoid falling into the burn out pit that we recently found ourselves in.

Thank you for reading! If the lack of consistency is an issue for you, we completely understand if you’d rather cancel your pledge. Otherwise, we hope you look forward to some of the stuff we’ve got in store.

Do what works best for you, team! I know what it feels like to burn out on a project, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. eHugs!
