Progress Log 9/7/23 - Standing System & Nefta Update (Patreon)

Summer is coming to a close and we’ve got a new progress log ready for you guys.

Standing System

The standing system has been implemented into Project Cappuccino 2 and characters will now be affected by your dialogue choices.

The standing menu can be accessed by clicking the heart icon that is now located on top of chat log button. In this menu, you’ll find all of your standings for both the succubi and NPCs you may meet.

There’s a few differences compared to how it used to work in Project Cappuccino 1.

Standing can no longer go into the negatives and instead is based on a scale of 0-100.

There are milestones every 25 points that will unlock something. For Succubi, it’s going to be parts of their backstory and possibly a costume when standing has been maxed. For NPCs, it’s going to be some NSFW scenes unique to them as well as a useful item such as Labrys’ Discount Card for her shop.

Gifting items can be used to increase or decrease standing if the item is liked/disliked.

Human routes will not use the standing system since their routes will be more straightforward in this game.

We’re currently weighing to see if date scenes affect standing instead of stats and should have more info on that in the next progress log!

Lady Nefta

Doku has managed to get some more work done on Nefta and her dialogue portrait is almost complete. The only thing left is shading and expressions.

We wanted to make her look different from Charlotte but not so different that the maternal similarity isn't there.

Her eyes will most likely be a grayish color and she has pointed, down-turned ears beneath her veil. This character has taken a huge amount of effort since we wanted to have a villain with presence and she's gone through various redesigns and improvements. We call her a villain but every good villain has gray motives that aren't always good or bad.

If you're catching up, Nefta is the primary antagonist of Project Cappuccino 2 and Charlotte's mother. She rules over the Domain of Life & Death while serving on the Council of The Damned as they oversee the Succubus Throne tournament.
