RANT: Youtube (Patreon)

(Before you read, weekly audios are still on the plate, as I said, it's not going anywhere! I already finished the one for this week, Yakuza Boss/Stepmommy. It's the last episode of its "season", please let me know when it releases if you want more! Please ignore this post if you don't want your day to be more stressful...)

Everyday I've been working hard on backing up my content and getting the weekly audios I've been making to be "Youtube-ready" after the strikes expire, but...I still feel sad about Youtube.

Youtube's been incredibly hostile in the ENG ASMR scene with zero tolerance. Everyday I hear about another ASMRtist being victimized by Youtube. Everyday I hear about a viewer missing an ASMRtist they used to listen to. And then there's Youtube's clownery about falsely warning many creators with "Terms of service violation" to anyone who made use of the Community Tab (yes, they admitted it's a mistake on their part. I suspect it was a vibe coded change.).

This platform has gone to the bottom.

It seems most ASMR triggers are not allowed, unless you're Japanese. Yes, I'm not joking. Many of the triggers & voicelines EN creators are being hit with strikes and channel terminations are safe and non-sexual. OK, some are deserved, but most are not.

Youtube is showing no signs of changing their zero tolerance policy on EN creators. More and more, I feel like there is no future to EN ASMR on Youtube anymore.

...I'm sorry about making your feed a little less relaxing. I want to show you more healing content on Youtube. But Youtube doesn't want that.

I know what I have to do.

But I still feel sad about Youtube. I really am...

I'm at the point of accepting that I can't make ASMR on Youtube anymore.
