Prompt: "Color Palette Challenge"
Draw or paint anything you want BUT…
You must use the color palette in this post! They don't have to be the exact colors (especially if you are doing this traditionally like me), and you can add small amounts of other colors, just make sure these three are the most dominant. This could be a character based off of the colors, a scene, a pattern, an emotion, a series of object studies, whatever speaks to you! Do one doodle, one page, or a whole spread, whatever works for you.
For my sketchbook spread, I used some crayola colored pencils that matched the colors and made this shooting star scene! With the end of the year approaching, I have been thinking a lot about the goals I set for myself. This little illustration captures that final push to reach them and how we forget to enjoy the moment and the things we already have when pursuing “more.” Just a little reminder to take some time to enjoy the present and the good things already around you!
When you’re finished, post it to the #responses channel on the Discord, or for free members, post it on Instagram and tag @sketches.of.shay!
Everyone did so well on their self-portraits last week, I can’t wait to see how you all interpret this prompt!
