A mission to protect the annoying client! (Patreon)

Oh, look like we are going into a fantasy world today, in this world, the adventurers are basically your servant, that you will have to pay, because, you know, people can’t do anything by themselves in this type of setting, like, asking adventurer to pick a flower for you, really? You rather pay the guild to make them do it for you than just walk out and pick one yourself, sure, you might say there’s so many monsters out there but still… Don’t you think the adventurers are hating this kind of quest? Or maybe not, I guess some of them can see these quests as easy mode and as long as they got the gold coin, they are not going to mind… Oh well! And other than picking flower, there’s also finding the right rock, helping out in their farm, shopping for them and so on… But today, this lizardman got himself on some odd quest, something unusual… But is it a good thing?

He got called by his guild master since he did his works well and about to pass to the next rank, but first, he better clear this one really quick, saying no mean no passing rank for you, oh man, not much choices here, eh? But what is this is about, well, you see, the guild just met this little cat guy, he’s small, as you can see, because he’s from a rare race, a race of tiny people who normally lives in the woods or grassland, but this one just wandering too far and ended up in the city, the thing is, some hunters hunt this poor fella, so, the little guy came to the guild and looking for a bodyguard to guide him back, the quest is simple, take this little guy to his home, avoid the hunters along the way, there, sounds easy, right?

The lizard seems like he’s not too happy with having this little guy in tow, but this will help him ranking up in his adventurer career so I guess he will have to do this, he quickly trying to rush his way out as he thought the sooner this over, the better… He has no shy to tell the little guy that he just doing this because it is a job and he find the little guy annoying, better end this quest so he can get this guy out of his back…

But during their way, the hunters keep showing one after another and the poor little guy got captured by them so many times, but the lizard guy able to rescued him back over and over too, the little guy can’t help but wonder if he said he don’t like him, why going this far, he even took some attack upon himself in order to keep him safe, why? But the lizard having no meaning behind this, he still treating this as a job, being professional in this line of work, even if he hates the little guy, he will protect him, since that’s what this quest is all about…

And finally, they able to reach the grassland where the tiny people like this little cat guy lives, his home, that he came from, if he is here, the hunters will never able to harm or catch him since there’s some kind of protection spell or something over the place, the lizard guy letting the little one to go here… Finally! The quest is over… But just then, the little stopped, seems like he did spend too much time with the lizard guy and think he’ll be safer if he stick around the lizard rather than walked out like this… LOL!!! Of course, the little guy is the only one who ended up feeling attracted to the lizard guy, the lizard still seeing him as annoying little one that he only keeping him safe because it is a job, but I think the cat will stick around him even if the lizard guy saying no! What a weird dynamic these two got here…
