Fighting following all the tropes? Bad idea!!! (Patreon)

Do you like it when a show or a game following all the well-known tropes, like, from start to finish? You know, a common stuff like, protagonist using swords, a woman playing healer role, a butler character who only serving tea to other characters so far when he showing now can fight in hand-to-hand combat… This is only a few but you know, there’re a lot of tropes out there and… If you asking me, I don’t mind following tropes, something that easy to digest is fun to watch, of course, when some story able to bring something new that wasn’t on the trope before, it is also fun, so, keep sending them coming to me, I’ll take both of them! Just like an RPG game! Like, an RPG game with new idea for the plot and battle system is good and all but I don’t refuse to play good old turn-based with simple saving the world from dark lord plot as well! But for these two… I don’t think following the tropes is a good idea here, not for the hero, at least…

In this story, we’re taking a look at this big rat and the tiny hero, well, the hero wasn’t this tiny, the rat just used something to shrink him down, wow, we do the shrinking trope here already? …And because the hero is now tiny, another trope is here to see, colossus climb! Like, in some show or a game, if the boss is too big, no matter if you shrunk or the boss originally big, you will have to climb their body up, trying to attack the feet only is not a good idea, better climb up and, I don’t know, try the heart of the eyes? Maybe it will be more effective that way…

But the rat is throwing tropes after tropes at this poor shrunken hero, even the hero is trying to counter those tropes with his own tropes, the rat is still find a way to refused or find a better trope to top over the hero, ugh, so, this is how the trope battle is all about, huh, the more you know the tropes, the better chance of winning, as you will have to try to pull new tropes after tropes and counter other tropes if needed… Sadly, the big rat is better here and the poor hero is unable to do much here, the rat pulled out a trope of a bad guy eating the hero and digest on him… He don’t have much time left to think and find another trope to find his way out… Guess he's losing this battle, this time… Huh, I said as if there will be a next time but… Oh well!
