The star of this story is the guy and an otter guy here, these two are an adventurer, they’re the duo, they always taking on a quest together, adventuring in an unknown dungeon together, fighting monsters together, what a nice pair, am I right? And today, they’re about to facing a new challenge, it seems there’s a large fish called a Lake Master showed up in a lake not far away from the adventurer guild headquarter and according to the old book, it said this fish is really hard to catch but almost every parts of this fish are necessary use if you want to make an extremely powerful potion, so there’s a quest in the adventurer guild, saying anyone who can catch a lake monster and bring to the guild will be greatly reward! There’s no way our duo stars will just walk away for such a challenge!

The guy is really looking forward to this quest, before he becomes an adventure, he used to fishing with his parents a lot so there’s a part of him that think he have what it take to clear this quest, he bought a lot of fishing rods and finishing lures at the night before the day they’ll go to that lake and with all good gears he got, he is sure that Lake Master thing or whatever the name is will be easy for him to deal with, just wait for me, you’ll be mine, Lake Master! The otter friend also keep telling him they’ll get a Lake Master in no time, even his friend supporting him, how nice!

And when they arrived at the lake, they found some adventurers who was here before them already giving up, such an amateur they are, he’ll show them how real fishing do the job! Watch and learn! Ha! But before he can show off his finishing skill, his otter friend suddenly used his magic to grow really big before diving down deep into the lake which now not really that deep or big anymore compared to his new size, and then he came back with the Lake Master in his mouth, saying he got it, turned out, the reason why the otter keep telling him they’ll get it is because this is his plan all along, he didn’t have faith in his partner fishing skill or whatever, he just have his own plan to carry on…

The guy is not sure if he is okay with this idea or not, this feel like cheating, at least can this otter guy letting him actually try for a few hours? Also this is not making him feel like a fishing quest after all, this is just a big cheating, but otter guy don’t seem to care much, why acting like a big deal, they cleared a quest, yes? Well, we did but this is kind of crushing my pride as a skillful fishing person, oh well, guess there’s no point for that now, fine, they’ll take the Lake Master back to the guild and get over with this, and if there’s a fishing quest like this again, Lake King, Lake Queen, Lake Kami or whatever… He’ll make sure to tell this otter friend of his not to cheat like this again, well, at least for a few hours, this time, it’s a real joy kill for him… But I guess they cleared a quest so this should be call as a good ending, am I right?
