Yo. So, um...

The latest chapter of Climbing Together is... um... for those of you might not have gotten to read it yet... um... Patreon, as LillianaVessFanBoy put it in a message, ate it. The reasoning: it has been hidden due to content that doesn't meet community guidelines, specifically, Teen Safety.

... This is an Adult only Fanfic page. I... and even then, the chapter doesn't have any actual sex! It didn't even tell me what part! Am i just supposed to know what part of a story 33,000 words long has bothered the butterflies? I... I am at a loss.

I resubmitted it. If it was just a weird, random hiccup, then the chapter will be back up in two-to three days. If not, I will see a response, I guess? If this was from someone reporting it... um... WHY?!

Like, I got no words. I'll be the first to say my stories have adult only stuff. I deal with serious topics in my stories, and I show lemons as the natural parts of relationships sex is. I am an adults-only creator. My lemons are always marked as such. Ya'll know what you might get and can choose to look away or not.

If this wasn't a random moment of Patreon stupidity but was someone reporting it and them going, oh okay, pull it, then... whoever did, you sir/ma'am, are a douche.

Now, if anyone looks below, they will find the chapter attached in its normal two formats. Have a nice day. Going back to Magic now. So much to do, did not need this shift messing with my calm!

Update 5/2:

Patreon okayed the chapter and its... LOL... lack of changes. Still no idea why it was flagged, but hey, it's back up for those of you who had yet to read it. In other news, 27,000 words done so far in Magic, shooting for a Sunday release. Although if it's Grammarlied or not will probably depend on how masocistic i feel like being Saturday Night/Sunday morning. But I won't have Sunday to work on it - Early Mother's Day thing for the family.

Another artist I follow has recently run afoul of unfair censoring for nonsense. His current work around is to post links to the Google doc. Which is kinda annoying since every chapter has a poll for what happens next. But it's not his fault and it works

There's a thought that they've started integrating an AI-powered reviewer/watchdog periodically scans through recent posts for what its been programmed to consider, according to community guidelines, as content violations.

I think it's a site wide thing as a number of other creators I follow have had similar issues , and it's either not explained or some odd reason is given that I know is not in the chapter

another patreon member i follow who also writes adult rated stories Kairomaru has had a similar issues where new posts are getting 'community guideline' restricted since February. I beleive that they came to the conclusion that it was someone within their followers that was directly reporting as a malicious member, but i don't know if htey ever confirmed that or if it was just an idea they had

this has happened to a lot of writer usually on the hentai writing side of things. my advice keep the attachments for future chapters. although an epub version migth be nice to include

cambrian has had to deal with this and its usually done by auto review by the platform no reporting required

It may also be that it recognizes the characters as teenagers and the situations as too adult and/or too dangerous for them, but fails to recognize that the characters are part of an 18+ Only Patreon account. Like I said: Misread or misrepresents the story content as a community content violation.

makes me wonder if it's some new 'AI' (really an artificial stupid) and that, as per normal these days, anything that gets flagged is guilty until proven innocent, and getting a real person to check is a chore

Hmmm, never had that problem with writing. Had one of my two patreons locked down entirely once until I went through the service people to prove I didn't violate guidelines. Odd to see it happen on purely written works. I'd make sure to file a support ticket just in case. That way, if you prove to them that the content wasn't in violation of ToS, they can ignore additional reports from the same person if it was a person.

Good thinking. At the moment, I'm assuming it was an AI snafu and won't be repeated. But if the same chapter is rejected, I will go the support ticket route. Again, that it was this one chapter that got snagged is VERY weird.

The other fanfic people I follow have been moving to either a linked Google Doc or a download file with zero story text on the site. If this is a malicious person and not some super dumb AI then said person needs to get a life.
