HP Patron Poll Results (Patreon)

Okay folks, it’s time to end the HP Patron Only Poll.  There was more going on in both this poll and the Ranma Patron Poll than just which stories would be updated this month, and I will get into that later today in a separate post. 

In other news, Alto Out There, the Ranma Patron Only winner, is finished and off to the editor.  I’ve also seen Hiryo’s updated version of Stallion.

Now, the results of this poll:

Harry Sawyer came in last with 379.  OOOf….

King of Champions, surprisingly, came in third, with 813.  Maybe due to the lack of action in this next chapter?  Eh. We will see.

Second place was Fate Takes a Sidestep with 1,046.  Wow… and kind of surprising.

This obviously means that the winner was Death’s Avenger.  A surprisingly narrow victory of 1,109.

People really are underestimating the potential of Harry Sawyer. And it's a damn shame. I wish it had done better here.

Agreed. I admit, it's hard for me with it and DA in the same poll, though.

Harry Sawyer looks like it could become really interesting, the areas of exploration are many, and it has a lot of potential.I am super curious where the story will lead.

It's somewhat sad that people aren't particularly interested in Harry Sawyer. This is an AU Harry Potter world, in which Harry gets to explore before Hogwarts. He is already creating magical skills unique in the magical world. He could gain his own understanding of the mundane and magical worlds separate from what is taught at Hogwarts and Dumbledore wanted him to know. He could meet magical beings in their natural environment. (For example, the mermaids in the Black Lake were in fresh water, looked ugly AF, and didn't seem to have any real powers beyond breathing underwater. Maybe the ones at sea are more in line with the mythos in terms of beauty and powers.) Beyond all that, this is a fanfic where we get to see Harry grow into the guy who overcomes Voldemort and Dumbledore, rather than the info dump we usually get at the beginning of Vimesenthusiast fanfics.

Naw man give us more chapters of an established story as opposed to putting out new stories that stretch the time between established story chapters...

Mermaids in the Med. As for the fic itself, yeah, i would have liked to show the fight between Voldy and his canon enemies, Mr. Complacent and Flight from death. I was looking forward to Greece, Egypt, and then exploring India before we get there though, and I guess that kind of slow build journey, with Harry at such a young age, doesn't interest people.

I am definitely interested in Harry Sawyer, the problem if it can be called one, is there's too many good choices. It was between HS and DA for me, though.
