Here is the Ranma poll for October.
The Effect of a Horse and Dragon – Ranma/Mass Effect Crossover: the Geth attempt to reclaim Peak 15, only to quickly come to realize they might not have brought enough metal to the party. Tali, Garrus and the team of mercenaries make it very hard for them on the surface, while a cackling Ranma makes the Geth worries a certainty. Meanwhile, elsewhere, a team of Cerberus operatives move on their target, coming away with valuable research data on how to create AI, prompting the locals, after everything is settled, to ask for some help from Ranma and his team. Garrus demurs, wanting to retain control of Saren, and Ranma agrees, but only after Benezia arrives. Which occurs a few days later, and in style, much to the chagrin of the various corps who control Noveria. A debate on morals occur, with Ranma’s earnestness overcoming fear, and work on unthawing the Rachni Queen continues, far faster than it would have otherwise with Ranma’s help. A joke and debate about music is taken too far, and Tali finds herself performing a rather embarrassing act with Ranma which turns out to be just right to settle the Queen down in a rather surprising manner.
Heroes of the High Seas – MHA/One Piece Crossover: A battle between a fixed installation and a warship does not go the way common doctrine says it would, despite Garp’s name seemingly not doing its normal job of making his enemies wail in terror. Several towers and a few burning ships later, the marines make landfall, with Garp, having received further intel, ordering a split of their forces even as the locals toss mechanical monsters, dozens of gunmen, and even a few howling suicide bombers at them. Shock abounds among the teens, never having dealt with religious fervor, but order is maintained and the victims dealt with before the teens are split up. Izuku, Shoto and Jirou are sent on a headhunting expedition by Garp, as he leads another force, hoping to find and protect the king. Meanwhile, Momo and the others push into the island, finding their training put to good use. The headhunting expedition goes poorly for a moment, then very, very well, as fire trumps paper, the king and his family secured, and the World Government Flag restored over Popernickel, earning the crew some shore leave, which everyone uses in various ways…
Stallion of the Line – Ranma/One Piece crossover: A battle that they had been winning rapidly goes against Pekoms and Tamago as Sandersonia, Vivi and Robin weigh in. Tamago is forced to utilize his last resort, but finds that having an ability to survive crippling wounds doesn’t mean you are immune to more of the same. Pekoms finds out that the strongest shield can till be punctured, while Neptune has back issues, Hody has his spine snapped, and Luffy arrives back on the island. Sanji is rescued from a one-sided beatdown during which some secrets come out before Smoothie learns that the paper might not be lying about the whole ‘Young Yonko’ thing when it comes to Luffy. An eventual ceasefire is called for now, as Luffy speaks with Big Mom, which does not go well. The real instigators escape cleanly, having only really succeeded in one of their goals, leaving behind a few questions with no real answers. A treaty is signed and a promise of training given, before a certain starfish and mermaid duo discover something under the sea.
Um… Heroes of the High Seas will be getting the carry-over effect of 225… Ergh. Remember it’s a quarter or half of the votes from the previous month so…
I won’t be voting here, as I want to put my votes behind Fate, but come on, Heroes! At least pull enough votes to make a better showing in November… Let’s say that this poll will end on the 14th.
