November Patron Poll and December Announcement (Patreon)

Hello, and a good Sunday to you all.  Hope this weekend is treating you kindly.  It is time (and past time, kind of forgot about posting the patron poll early, my bad…) to post this month’s polls.  First of course will be the Patron Only Poll. 

This poll will end on the 7th.  That will give me enough time to outline the various chapters I haven’t already, and work a bit on… well I would say the migration project, but that’s not going to be available for a bit.  I will instead either go back over Fate Touched using the changes/corrections made by a reader over on fanfic, or prep chapters for A03.  Depends.

First of all, of course, comes the now monthly literal roll of the die to discover which poll The Fic That Don’t Fit, Heroes of the High Seas, will join.

As per usual, a use the https://rolladie.net/ and I create a nine-sided die.  1-3 is the Patron Poll, 4-6 this time will be the HP poll, since it will be my second priority this month, while 7-9 is the Ranma poll. This reflects my priorities list this month. I need to contact Tomon, see if he’s willing to help with the beta- reading again of Stallion, but at this point I’m assuming he won’t.  If that changes, I will change the two poll priorities around.

..I rolled a three. That means that Heroes will join the patron only poll. It will also be getting the carry over effect, which will, thanks to my putting my votes down for it after it lost last month, bring in 577.

So the choices for this poll are:

King of Champions – HP/RWBY Crossover:  News of the Grimm assault flies before Harry and company, making their eventual confrontation with the local newsies both better and worse, much to Harry and Pyrrha’s distress. The various teams make the acquaintance of Mama Bear(Arc), and Ruby meets a fan while Weiss provides good PR. Teams split off, taking various routes to Evig Låga, while Harry and his team head straight there, where Harry is put to work right away, as is Nora.  Martina, her team, Ren and Pyrrha find themselves in charge of a group of young hopefuls, while the teams that had split off earlier have issues galore.  Arturia, Tristan and several others come face to face with the Branwen Clan, with Arturia proving that power isn’t all she’s got, while Tia and her group are faced with yet another very targeted Grimm-style incident, as Harry find himself facing yet another Grimm enemy, and yet another enemy, this time a human, infiltrates Evig Låga. 

Climbing Together – Ranma/Kof/Street Fighter crossover:  The new tournament starts off with a bang, as Ranma first faces a sumo wrestler who’s mixed sumo moves with Drunken Fist, and Ibuki faces Koeda, much to Ibuki’s embarrassment and the crowd’s delight. After a series of eliminations and fun fights, Mai faces off against Konatsu, while Ibuki and Ranma have a friendly match, and the man in the odd outfit with the escrima sticks has a very unfriendly one with Kotetsu, eliminating the last of the Tsuki clan in the tournament.  This doesn’t stop the trio of uglies from trying to make trouble, though, which Shampoo handles in an Amazonian manner, before Mai faces a truly electric opponent, and Ranma finds himself facing an Australian, but not the by-then named Mr. Big. Shampoo has that honor, resulting in a knock-down, drag out fight that quickly becomes the highlight of the tournament.  Mai and Ranma face off against one another, with the outcome never really in doubt due to Mai’s previous exertions, followed by Ranma facing off against Mr. Big, who also is badly battered from his previous match.

Heroes of the High Seas – MHA/One Piece Crossover: A battle between a fixed installation and a warship does not go the way common doctrine says it would, despite Garp’s name seemingly not doing its normal job of making his enemies shriek in terror.   Several towers and a few burning ships later, the marines make landfall, with Garp, having received further intel, ordering a split of their forces even as the locals toss mechanical monsters, dozens of gunmen, and even a few howling suicide bombers at them.  Shock abounds among the teens, never having dealt with religious fervor, but order is maintained and the victims dealt with before the teens are split up.  Izuku, Shoto and Jirou are sent on a headhunting expedition by Garp, as he leads another force, hoping to find and protect the king.  Meanwhile, Momo and the others push into the island, finding their training put to good use. The headhunting expedition goes poorly for a moment, then very, very well, as fire trumps paper, the king and his family secured, and the World Government Flag restored over Popernickel, earning the crew some shore leave, which everyone uses in various ways…

Hmmm…. I will probably be voting for either Heroes here, or Bhaalson Remodel in the HP poll.  I’d like to get at least one more chapter of one of those works out this year, hopefully both.

Now, for December.  As those of you who have been here more than a year,  I like to post presents for myself and my patrons.  My patrons get to read teaser chapters, I get to give some of my muses voice, which honestly helps me from being burnt out.  Bouncing around like I do is great for that.

This year, I have decided the HP poll will continue as is.  In December, it will be my third priority. Hopefully, Fate, which will return in December, will win the poll that month. If it does, starting in January, I will be putting FILFy and Magic against one another while putting Fate and Bhaalson on hold, removing the rotation entirely. I will keep both in the poll together until one of them is done, and then, depending on how many chapters to go, I will resume the regular rotation.  I have been frustrated and annoyed by my inability to finish FILFy, but this way, I can also push Magic, which is… 7? 8? chapters away from ending further along at the same time.

As for my first two priorities, I will be splitting the Patron Only Poll into Ranma and HP polls, so that you all get two Patron only stories.  If Climbing Together wins this month, it will NOT be part of that poll, and there will be two story ideas to join Alto Out There.  If Climbing doesn’t win, it will be there with AoT with one other teaser chapter.  The Teaser chapters will be chosen via a numbers-only poll I will be posting later today, with the ones with the most votes being chosen one and two.

The HP Patron Only poll will be between Death’s Avenger and one or two HP teaser chapter-type stories depending on the outcome of the Patron Poll this month for King of Champions. If it loses, Harry Sawyer, which can be found here:  https://www.patreon.com/vimesenthusiast/posts/harry-sawyer-119053894, will join it and DA.  If it wins, the second story will be chosen by a numbers-only poll, which I will post later tonight along with the Ranma one.

Yes, those will be separate posts, LOL.

My fourth priority in December will be the normal Ranma poll. If I can get to it, I will. If not… then the poll winner will be posted in January, replacing the Ranma poll there.
