In comparison to the other poll I just posted, this one is a lot easier to understand LOL. As I mentioned in my other post, Bhaalson Remodel lost horribly against Making Waves. The problem is, this has been a theme with BR since I started writing it: it just hasn’t done well against Sword, Bow, and Horse or Making Waves. Now, I like the rotation concept. Yet one of the reasons why I began Bhaalson Remodel was so as to have a patron-only HP story to give my HP fans a monthly present. And if it is only going to be updated whenever it has already lost three months in a row, that isn’t much of a present. The question then becomes, how should this issue be addressed?

The first idea was to keep most of the current format in terms of the rotation. But instead of bringing back the first winner of the rotation in the third month (after it’s been on hiatus the month after it won) I just update Bhaalson Remodel that month, then start the rotation once more. The problem with that is that it basically assumes it can’t win on its own, so again, is it really popular enough to serve as a present for all of you HP fans?

The other option is to bring in a second HP patron-only story. One of my HP crossover story concepts, say oh, my HP/RWBY crossover idea. I would love to do this, however, I don’t want to for a very simple reason: I want to cut down on the number of stories I’m juggling, not just exchange one finished story and start another. But if all of you think that this is a good idea, then I will do so. 

Third, though, I think is the best idea: adding one of my other HP fics into the Patron Only rotation. I would post it here, then post it over on fanfic on the next international holiday. So you all get the benefits, but then the story would also move forward, albeit slower, on fanfic. With the popularity of ATP and FILFy, I would only want to use Fate and, if it doesn’t start winning more often, Magic. But in comparison of the two, Fate needs the help a lot more.  

This poll IS a weighted poll and will end on the 30th.  The answer will impact the patron-only poll in August if I have one as determined by the other poll I recently uploaded.

I'm looking forward to the eventual HP/RWBY story, but apparently I'm in the minority. That's sad, that combo isn't used enough.

So I have to say I don’t really like any of the options... I don’t have a better idea unfortunately other than maybe changing the voting format overall. Maybe not break them by size but by fandom. Have patrons vote for one HP, one Ranma, and one wide open and combine the wide open with the fanfiction votes. And no more votes for each segment until that chapter is done so if people vote for the biggest stories every time then it takes longer between chapters. And if you need a break on a story to do research or something just pull it from the voting until you’re ready to potentially address it again. That lets your patrons really have an impact while still including fanfiction and helps people who feel like their fandom isn’t being addressed to some extent. I don’t know. I’m really hear because I love you’re writing so whatever you put out I’m going to read but I found you through HP, specifically ATP, so I’m definitely biased. I’ve come to appreciate Ranma though, even though I only know the character through your stories. Anyway, keep writing and we will keep reading and paying...

When I saw the HP/Ranma concept (more specifically the Ranma-Tonks pairing), I was like: This needs to be a thing asap :D My opinion hasn't changed, though it is a tough choice between this and the possibility of Heroes of the high seas getting off the ground :D Both are legitimately awesome ideas and whatever you decide in the end, we win regardless :D

Sine the Patreon poll has currently to option I’d say add Heroes on the High seas and rotate out last months winner so it’s always a choice of one in 3 and if one keeps getting chosen every time it show up then it will just get finished faster. Don’t know if this would work but adding to many more story’s or juggling a main story in and out of the Patreon polls don’t sound like they’ed work as intended.

I say take a look on the HP/Ranma concept. If not then start a whole new concept; maybe HP/Elderscrolls or something? *EDIT* Have you thought about your Ranma/MHA Xover?

This would as well be an option about the splitting up the votes entirely. However, for stories where HP/Ranma stories you would have the potential of double votes though.

I'm torn on this one. At first I wanted to vote for simply adding Fate, as this won't add another story the the circulation. But I love the 'Heroes of the High Seas' too much hence my final vote went to them. Also I kinda feel that we gotten slightly beyond the initial concept anyway given the length of the first two chapters.

I really hope that Heroes of High Seas wins this. It's so rare to find a My Hero Acadamia / One Piece story. Let alone a good story.

I wonder if you might be over reacting a little bit here. Truthfully, Bhaalson is my least favorite of your patron only stories (I really like the other two), and I voted against it the last couple months, but I still think you've done a great job with it and that it has a ton of potential going forward. I would not have been disappointed if it had won any of the last couple polls. This is coming from someone who has never played Baldurs Gate. As far as the margin of victory goes, I think you need to remember where you left things in both stories. Making Waves is right on the edge of a highly anticipated fight scene, whereas it looks like Bhaalson is about to start a transition chapter. I suspect that this played a significant role in how the votes panned out.

My biggest problem with you as a writer has always been the length of times between updates on certain stories. Given that, and the fact that out of the 11 stories of yours that I have read, only 1 is complete, I think its a little crazy to try to add more into the mix before completing a few of them. That said, I have to say that for the last 6-8 months or so you have done an outstanding job of rotating your stories, and it has made following each of them significantly easier and more enjoyable.

I just plain don't like Bhaalson Remodel. While I don't mind the setting of Forgotten Realms... This isn't really it; it's just some game version with NPCs. Or at least it was when I had stopped reading it. I didn't much care for the "gamer-like" portion, or that that Harry was in the game-character's body...Which pretty much meant that, out of the initial aspects of the story (those being; Harry Potter, Forgotten Realms, and video game aspects), The Forgotten Realms portion was kind of nullified by it being "the game" filled with NPCs, and I didn't care for the game-system, so I really only liked that it was Harry Potter...and you have plenty of other HP fics I can read and enjoy.

Yeah I gotta agree with Greg that I just don’t like Bhaal. None of these choices really appeal to me at all since I don’t feel it would make that much difference. Granted that is just my opinion but you have other Harry Potter stories that are updated often enough I don’t think it matters if it’s patron only or not.

If you need to drop Bhaal for a time due to its current unpopularity than do so. If you wish to add a different book to the patron poll than I recommend Fate. However, I am strongly apposed to adding a brand new story until one or more of your current stories is completed.

While I voted for the Harry/Ramna concept, from a purely logical standpoint it might make more sense to just replace Bhaalspawn with Fate and relook everything once you have stories completed.

I'm biased here, because Remodel is based on my one of my top 3 all time favorite games, and Gamer fics are one of my favorite sub-genres, especially when done well, like this one is. However, I do think it would be more fair if there was a even split in the story choices. So, another HP patron only would work. I became a patron on whim, but I've mostly stayed because I love Remodel so much. So please don't cancel it!

The size is how i prioritize which stories i work on first in any given month. Not certain I know what you mean by votes for each segment. As for ATP, it is going to be in the large story poll next month I think.

You're right I don't want to add a new story in, thanks for noticing that. Adding in Heroes could be interesting, but then I'd feel obliged to post the first chapter of it over on fanfic at some point, and that feels too much like I would be trolling for fan and bringing them in on a false basis - they wouldn't be able to see the one story they might be interested in.

Hmmm.... you make a good point about the idea that where both works were could have played a big roll in this past month. But not all the months since I introduced the rotation. It hasn't won once.

Thank you for noticing that - I say that I want to cut down on my stories. Hence my pushing to finish AGGC. Thus the reason for my voting to just put Fate into the Patron-only rotation. It is the easiest solution to giving my HP fans another story to vote on per month here on Patreon.

Have you ever read the Baldur's Gate books? They suck. I honestly don't like any of the FR books, the characters are too one dimensional, but those books, what they did to Jaheira, Minsc, hell all the characters, it was just horrible. I would argue that the characters from the original game are far, FAR better. As for not liking the Gamer aspects, is this because you don't like that genre of fics, or that you think it's overdone?

Fair enough. I won't argue that it's your least popular patron only story. Making Waves was always destined to win the head to head vote there, my point was just that the margin of victory was misleading.

That's why I voted for it! I've been really excited about Fate Touched ever since I read the first chapter a few years ago. Specifically I've been excited to see what you do once you get past the hobbit. I made quite a few predictions about how that story would go based on what I know about your writing style, and I'm eager to see if I was on the right track. To be honest its been pretty frustrating, but I realize that its important to give your patrons what you want, and like I said you've been doing much better lately.

No worries, I have no intention of canceling it. I just wish it could win a poll on it's own, and want to make certain my HP fans have a chance to get something every month.

@vimesenthusiast True, that was the reason I didn’t like the idea of Fate flipping back and forth between the two polls as you’d end up with people of fanfiction voting for Fate and never knowing there a full chapter behind. Maybe leave the Patreon poll at 3 for now till something catches your eye, but do the winner opts out next poll idea so your alternating story’s and again if one is always winning then it will get finished sooner.
