Like I mentioned in the Ranma poll, here is the HP only poll. Unlike in that one, though, the carry over effect will be active here. It’s been 8 months since Magic of the Force was updated, and it will get the carryover effect.

I… can’t say I will vote for it. Sorry SW guys, but the state of the greater SW has me feeling really depressed. I need time to let that depression turn into resentment and righteous fury to fuel my muse before I vote for this fic. Ahsoka looked so pretty but… *SIGH*…

The choices are:

Magic of the Force-Harry Potter/SW crossover: Faced with the threats of fellow feeling and morals getting in the way of his war, Dominus reacts in the tried and tested Sith manner, pinning events on the Republic. Meanwhile, a war in the shadows of the galaxy begins in earnest as agents, counter agents, mercenaries and criminals wage war on one another for masters whose goals and identities few of them even know. Back with the large-scale war, the CIS continues to drive for Corellia, a front that quickly becomes a grinding war of back and forth space battles, with GDL planets changing hands slowly, but the CIS paying for it in blood and material. Harry and Aayla discuss things with Garm and decide to help weaken the blockade on Rendili first, trusting in their people to keep up the good fight. Before this, they have a talk with Padme, setting up a meeting in person as Padme is given a mission from the Senate, and stop an assassination. Another, far less pleasant conversation occurs, while Grievous’ campaign gains momentum. Its target becomes apparent too late, leaving only the nearby Bane able to respond for better or worse…

Fate Touched in Middle Earth – HP/LOTR crossover: Thanks to the time in Lothlorien, Harry and Tauriel are now traveling in style, if still by foot. The changes to Harry’s physical endurance and speed become apparent as the two of them enjoy their time together despite moving through the Brown Lands. Two small skirmishes with animals and goblins occur, amounting to nothing before they turn straight north, following Harry’s magic to Thorin. Rain and weather make for strange flirting with Tauriel becoming more enthused with the human way of courtship. The River Celduin is crossed, this time in style, while Tauriel teaches Harry how to conceal himself without the use of magic. The two of them realize they made their way too far east rather dramatically, coming to the aid of dwarves under assault by a group of wild trolls at night. The dwarves prove dwarfish, alas, but are willing to trade food, before Harry and Tauriel push on, arriving within days of near-constant travel at Erebor. They do so just in time to partake in a solemn ceremony, one that no non-dwarf has ever seen. After that, plans are made, and the next trip quickly planned before Harry is roped into an exchange of information with the dwarven runesmiths.

Bhaalson Remodel – HP/Gamer/Baldur’s Gate crossover:  While Harry and his band cheerfully go about murdering every band of hobgoblins they can find, Edwin makes a new friend, proving that opposites sometimes do attract. Viconia and Imoen continue to do drudge work, before having a minor confrontation wherein Viconia shows her inner drowishness much to Imoen’s chagrin and dark humor. The grinding continues with their new friend, the party meeting up and splitting into new teams as days turn into weeks, and they find new ways to use Harry’s AAS system to grow in strength. It’s all smooth sailing (and some flirting) until the party is forced to face the fact that while they might have taken a step back from solving the Iron Intake Issue, that doesn’t mean their enemies have forgotten them. Yet even with that interruption, Harry still has time to sit down and decide between his two final choices, and, after learning still more about why he was here and what Twice Fated meant, he is given a Major Quest to the southeast as his Paladin Quest.

You will note that FILFy Teacher isn’t here. It was just updated, so obviously it would not appear here. That, and I can hope this will let Bhaalson Remodel (if it has a chance, I might vote for it this month) have a good showing.

This month, the HP fic will be my final priority.  See the Patron Only Poll for my reasons for that.

On the SW bit, Disney is not canon and you are improving it.

Normally I'd push for Magic of the Force but if you're not feeling it then I'll wait. So I'ma push for Bhaalson. BG3's release makes me wanna see Harry/Viconia and the only way I'll get that is if we get more chapters out.

Whenever I’m sad about the state of new Star Wars content I remind myself that Andor exists.

With the big wave that BG3 is making, I was hoping that BR would have a chance. Sigh.... Well I'll vote for it anyway, because I love the games, so I can only hope for the best.

Well i can't stand what has happened to star wars after disny took over so any thing you do there is a bonis in my books. it is funny i liked the lord of the rings movies like really liked them but i just can't stand what they did with the hobbit so i never got in to the other fic though i will try again. i would like to see more of br though i would not be too unhappy if the hp sw crossover got in this month.

Just putting things into perspective, you only have to post 184 words in A fate touched to get a review on ff.net versus 2841 words to get a review for A third path, 320 words to get a review for Magic of the force, 372 words for FILFY, and 1001 words for Bhaalson Remodel. Value in feedback from writing weighs more in favor of A Fate Touched, followed by Magic, than FILFY, than Bhaalson, and finally way way at the back A Third Path.

Bhaalson Remodel

See, here's the thing, I liked the Hobbit movies. I thought they were very well done. Not accurate to the Hobbit, but I felt they at least respected the overall Lord of the Rings world. I didn't like the over the top action. I didn't like the made up dwarf/elf love thing. I enjoyed the fight against the dragon as a fight scene, knowing it was nothing that could have happened in the original. I felt Beorn was... poorly done. I felt the elves got off too lightly, but then again, that was accurate to the book LOL. So they did have issues. But I did like them despite that because they didn't S*it over the original entirely. Rings of POWWERRR did.

While interesting, I am sorry, but this calls for a quote: "NEVER tell me the odds!"

"I haz plotz armorz...and a .6 class Hyperdrive!" ~ Han Solo...probably....;)

My 75 hours of BG3 makes my blood sing for Bhaalson! I need it in my life.... Unfortunately it's not looking likely.

vimesenthusiast

You did remember to sleep during that time, right? Riiiigghghhtt!?

MagisterdeVita

..... Well, after the 30 hour.... Of course 😂. It's a really good game and it was the first time in years I could just immerse myself. Normally I'm only playing for 2 hours at most. Because games nowadays don't grab me like they used to... But... They really did there thing with this one

vimesenthusiast

Nice. Been told someone's gonna give it to me for Chanukkah, but waiting will be hard...

Tigger42

But I need a good SW story and you’re one of the few people who can make it work.
