So recently I've been talking to an animator about adding animations into Camp Mourning Wood. This would be a big undertaking, but I feel like a lot of people would enjoy these. However, just to double check I'm adding a poll here:

Should we add animations into Camp Mourning Wood?

Pros

I think the pros are pretty obvious for this one. Having lots of sexy animations put ingame of all your favorite campers.

Cons

For cons we gotta have a realistic look at this. Doing variations in animations is much more difficult, so we'd have to take out the body-writing and condom options. This wouldn't be too much of a problem as I never felt amazing about those features anyways (plus you can still access them via your photo album if you really wanted to).

Second, we can look at voice acting again. I'll definitely reach out to some of the voice actresses from Paprika Trainer, cause I loved working with them, but the big question is. Would it be awkward to have a game with no VO suddenly have voices during the animations? Heck... should we even look into getting voice actresses for the entire game? Maybe I'll make the next poll about that.

Goal

If we do add this option ingame, then I think a realistic goal would be to have two new animations per update. Assuming everything goes well during production. Anyways, let me know what you guys think!

I'd say do it with the VA only during the animations but make the base game have some sound effect when text is scrolling like other games do to "simulate talking" it'd be the easiest way

William McCoy

I don't care much about VA during animations. If you do it please don't just do moans on a loop during spicy scenes.

Caerkris

I was more thinking a ding sound but sure buddy

ELECTRONOOR

I think animations would really add an experience to the erotic scenes, while horny outcries like : "Oh!Yes!Fuck me deeper, and harder, El Presidente! " will become boring if repeated over and over again without a lot of necessary, randomly chosen variations.

I think realistically it should be a later addition. Get the main project as the core focus and have maybe 10% of the focus on animation. Scope Creep is a thing, and while it sounds dope it also can lead to increase dev time due to unforeseen development issues. My honest opinion? Make an entire development cycle once in awhile purely for this and clearly explain in posts that this is the main focus. You can tie it up with fleshing out other characters, or fixing particularly nasty bugs in the code that you can’t quite tackle in a content development cycle. An example of this would be Councillor Frauke. It might be that I’m continually playing the same save, but things like potions don’t work on her (see through etc) and either it’s due to incompatibility with old saves or it just hasn’t been added. There are other minor graphical issues I’m assuming are compatibility related for old saves but if it’s not, that’s an issue. That’s just my thoughts on the matter… I’ve seen other games have similar mindsets and get “lost in the sauce” trying to genuinely make the best possible game, but tacking on years of dev time to the release.

Animations are a fantastic addition and voice acting is always A++++ but I understand the difficulty. As long as you keep cranking out content I'll stay subscribed, but I'd also be willing to pay more for animations and especially voice acting.

DCP

If you are going to spend the time and money on animations it only seems fair that voice acting should be an optional extra when you can afford or want to do it

MorriganMorning

Animations are great, but do what you can afford to do. Paying voice actors for their work, albeit the right thing to do, can get ridiculously expensive in an incredibly short amount of time.

David Croucher

If you can do it without risking too much financialy, go for it, but the game is great as it is. I say finish it in the existing style and come back to animations and voice acting later.

Hi, I'm on version 0.19.1, so I'm 4 versions behind. But I wanted to know if version 0.19.5 has animations. If so, I'll download it. If not, I'll wait a little longer.

Mahin 30 Gamer

I have the 3 euro or dollar subscription but I've been busy lately so I'm behind on a lot of stuff and I wanted to know if they've added animations or not And by the way I'm playing with the phone so regardless I'm behind with the versions

Hiya Mahin, good question. No there's no animations yet, I've been working with an animator and we're getting started this month. Expect animations to start being added around December to February. (the last few updates were just bugfixes)

When will version 0.19.5 be available for Android?
