I’ve always been so interested in Skua’s level of faith yesss

Lala200!

He’s so faithful I feel really bad for him…

TRAT

i’m so curious about why skua has so much beef with sturgeon, this is the first time he’s voiced it but in previous pages he always looks PISSED when she’s on screen

Mistclaw

I thought Trout already told Skua the truth a while ago, or maybe she didn't give him the whole story..?

Emma Thomas

Maybe Im overdue for a re-read but I really wasn't expecting Skua to be so devout! I really love this aspect of his character. I think a lot of ppl (like me) were expecting Skua to be Trout's logical rock through this. I can't wait to see how trouts reality unravels while being surrounded by enablers

Collie

well it was told to sturgeon By a cat who Was chosen sooooo. 🙊

Mouri

God Skua is soooooo bad for Trout. Trout has issues, and she's voicing that she's majorly fucked up, and he is bending over backwards trying to convince her that an innocent grieving mother deserved to die.

Ooh, it's interesting that Skua recognizes that Sturgeon isn't exactly the most forthcoming cat around. I wonder what he's heard to give him that impression?

This just gets worse and worse. The last shred of sanity Trout has is being threatened. She's already convinced that she's doing what "has to be done" to keep herself safe. If she's convinced to fall back into the delusion of the Tide, she can absolve herself of all responsibility and guilt. Then, she'll be able to do anything while still seeing herself as blameless. I'm with the others: I thought Skua would be her last moral compass, that beacon that keeps her grounded. The fact that he's turning into the opposite: an enabler who is pulling her back into the Cult's teachings, means that things are even more dire than before. If Trout is convinced to believe in the Tide again, she'll start to look at Sturgeon as a blasphemer. She might even start blaming Sturgeon for convincing her to bring the Daisys into the Family and starting all this. If Sturgeon loses her position as an advisor, there won't be anything holding Trout back. I'm convinced that a major event later will be Hake killing Skua in battle. Skua can and will fight anyone to keep his Queen safe, and it would be a terrible sort of poetic justice for Hake to kill Trout's love after she killed his. Can't wait to see what comes next!

skua is being quite the enabler !!

kipcore

i never trusted him ngl

Maybe because of petrel situation? Because Petrel attacked Trout and originally Petrel was Sturgeons friend

Givemeyourmilk

I wonder if Skua is forgetting very specific conversations where Trout also convinced HIM of things because the Tide said it was okay (letting daisies join, saying the family can eat fish now). I wonder if he'll realize she lied to him too
