Even now, she won't even look her sister in the eye. She'd rather close her eyes to all the death and suffering she's either directly causing or allowing to happen, because it's what's easiest for her. You've really done a good job showing how an ordinary person can turn into a monster. And that's exactly what Trout is now. And Skua is enabling her. I feel sorry for Trout, but she deserves every bad thing that comes her way after this.

Sadly, this is Skua's job. He is there to protect the crown. Does he have feelings for her? Yes of course. We arnt blind. But I hope, maybe if any cat can get through to trout, it's Skua. But honestly, I think he would follow her into the ocean if she asked him to. Blind faith, and their love for eachother is gonna gonna get one of them or both of them dead. And I hope, it's Skua first so trout can see how she fucked up to the only cat left closest to her, died salt essentially her own paws. Like the daisies will have to witness their loved ones die because of her.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions… Trout is becoming a monster ruled by fear that Sturgeon unintentionally masterminded. I keep wondering if Trout being chosen was Thresher’s choice or if it was actually left up to lil crab. If lil crab is really nothing more than a very long-lived critter and it “chose” Trout because of mango flavored favoritism then it feels very classic tragedy. If it was up to Thresher… I could see him knowing that Trout was the heir that would cave to appeasing the Family.

we aren’t able to see her eyes and she won’t face sturgeon, just like she shut her eyes to tusk being forced into the sea on her command. she refuses to face consequences for her actions and skua is just fueling this by turning sturgeon away. i’m guessing she’s going to go talk to tansy or smn? hey girl was feeding daisys before, might as well get back to it but now Ocean Flavored!

I think the #1 thing that pisses me off about Trout is that she's constantly sooo crybaby about people suffering, not because she actually cares, but because of how it reflects on her. LMFAOO. There is nothing worse to deal with than someone who thinks they are empathetic, when it's really all just an act, because they cannot truly tell the difference between caring about how people *feel* vs caring about what people *think*.
