idk if i love the colors in this scene, my tablet screen is a lot less warm/saturated than my other screens show.. and i usually check colors between my other screens before committing but i forgot to do so until uploading... oh well, we live with these bright pink/purples

This whole scene kind of makes me realize how little we’ve been able to see adult Sturgeon and Hake interact on page. What makes it even sadder is that they both used to spend most of their time with Trout instead :(

I do hope that Sturgeon keeps Tansy's reaction in mind if she's still going to ask Hake to apologize to Trout. I get that her intentions are good, I'm glad she's going with this over injuring Skua to get him out of the picture, but this is a HUGE ask (if she goes through with it) and her brother's emotions are still raw. That said, considering the last two pages and Trout now taking advice from Gull, even if Hake comes around it might be too late. Still, I'm glad Sturgeon is trying something more straightforward instead of the scheming that got them all here in the first place.

My prediction is that Hake begrudgingly agrees and comes back to the caves to at least talk things out with Trout... and then he that sees GULL is her new advisor, and promptly blows up again and gets the hell out of dodge.

I'm going to keep imagining/deluding myself that Egret is an Auklet/Kelp baby because of his gray patches. I dunno, I just think that him being a more distant cousin to the three close siblings would kinda gel with how he's an outsider to the Family, yet is also more closely connected to them than the average Daisy. It would make him an extended family member in every sense of the word, lol.
