The WornDown Children got to be on the schedule for their town's Christmas parade concert!

I think they're opening for the big show of the night so not bad I guess…

[Edited: I did in fact Added Tak because the empty space was actually starting to annoy me. It didn't help it was not only empty but also white. But id does work better now. Also I took the opportunity to add some highlights and the instrument wires that I had forgotten. I'm leaving the originals below for comparison]

A little late, though not really, here's my big piece for this year's Christmas!

A thing I've been having fun with these holiday pieces is to see how they respond to each other from year to year. 

One year I did a big flashy piece and the next year I did a series of smaller, more intimate pieces, and after that I decided to do something even bigger with like 30 light sources. 

This year's piece responds to that as a direct conceptual continuation. 

Last year the characters were walking towards a Christmas parade event in their town. This year they're at the center of it. 

I wanted to play with a more stylized line art this time, at least for the characters. At first I thought that it would be a simpler picture but in the end it ended up not being that.

I think they're playing in the same park where the beginning of the Closing Time comic happens because I guess now they have a good relationship with the organizers or something.

I made two versions, one in Spanish and one in English though I'm leaning more towards the Spanish one for making it public as this whole setting is based on the Christmas events my town organizes. Though it's not necessarily here where it happens 

Very unfortunately, this year I wasn't able to feature Tak in the Christmas picture. Though, and I'm thinking this as I write this, I do see an empty space in the composition where I could later edit Tak taking photos or something so stay tuned in case it happens.

On the other hand, this is the first time for Tina on one of these, and she's doing one of her favorite things. To go to a concert!

I'm maybe a bit too proud of the detail of shrinking the part of the picture that we can see through her glasses to simulate their graduation. Man she's really blind.

I don't want to over use it but, man, I couldn't help but to draw Lil on her now classic elf costume. 

Other than that, we see most of the band wearing winter clothes. Davo is not playing topless as he uses to this time due to the cold but he did take out his sweater.

Zara, on the other hand, dressed up basically as she always does. Though I'm not having regrets about not drawing her with her also classic Parka and short shorts during winter fit.

And finally as a fun detail. Earlier this year I made a new reference sheet for Tony where I made a point to de-canonize his wearing of scarfs, only for now months later to have him wearing that exact scarf he used to have on his old ref sheet.

Oh I'm such a silly Billy.

And I think that covers it all for now. There's some more Christmas that I want to do later but we'll see.

What do you think they're playing? 

I mean, the right and canonical answer is a new in-universe song from their own authorship that in our reality we can only imagine. But given that's the case, what do you imagine that song sounds like? Or in other words, what song do you think would fit the vibe here? It doesn't have to be Christmas stuff.

I have some ideas but I'm curious what others think?
