Halloween 2026 WIP (Patreon)

Alright.

Here's a compilation of sketches I did while trying to figure what would be fun for my characters to go as for Halloween this year.

Just some of the best sketches I've tried. None of these are necessarily the final ones and I'm open to suggestions.

This year I wanna do this a bit different, though I still don't have a plan really. In the last couple of years I had them just posing for the camera, which I guess makes sense but this like I think I'd like to see them doing something.

Another one of the things I have in mind is maybe trying a simpler more cartoony style. I feel like that would help me to get away with things I haven't allowed myself to do in the past. Like the characters using wigs and such. 

Like with Diana going as Sadako from the Japanese The Ring movies which I really like how it came out here, solid finalist, though I'm not completely sold, I feel like there might be better idea out there.

Like maybe having her join Tony and Tak on their gimmick of going as characters from animated movies. I really like that concept and Tony as Aladdin is working really well for me though Tak as Ursula sounded better in my head. Maybe it's a problem with the execution though.

Another idea for Diana is going as a mummy. Just cause lol. Though that one has to go against Lil as Bastet as I think having two Egyptian themed costumes would be weird. Lil as Bastet kind of feels more solid.

On December when posting some comics I mentioned that it could be fun having Davo going as Austin Powers, so here's that with Tina going as Vanessa Kensington from the first movie and now I'm basically sold on the idea. And Austin does have a band in universe so it does follow the rules for Davo's costume to be music related. So for these two it's probably going to be this.

And it gave me an idea for a fun dynamic with these two of them going as characters from one of Davo's favorite movies growing up, so they could also go with costumes of one of Tina's favorite childhood movies. I haven't decided what it could be but Nightmare before Christmas is a good candidate. Still figuring that one out.

It almost also fits with Tony and Tak going as characters from Disney movies. Maybe it could be a group thing this year. Maybe…

Tony as Dr. Evil is an idea I liked because from that December comic is a bond he and Davo have from their childhood, tough I don't think he's gonna go like that, I don't want him to feel like a third wheel. I just drew it because I wanted to see how it would look. And it has convinced that this isn't the first time Davo goes like this and he and Tony definitely went as Austin Powers and Dr. Evil at some point of the past. Lol

RJ Frankenstein feels like a very good fit. It was really convincing me until I drew wizard RJ with orb to ponder included. I like the idea of him improvising his costume with a bath robe and the beard of that time when he worked as a mall Santa. But I especially like the “Ah sure, what a coincidence!” Of him going as a wizard the same year Zara goes as a witch. Like secret couple costumes with total plausible deniability (They think), with one looking more detailed and the other more improvised, and they both having came up with them totally on their own.

Or who knows, maybe it was just a happy coincidence. Like they didn't know what the other would go as, and when they saw each other they had that, “Oh crap” moment fearing their friends would find out about their thing though their costumes, like if it wasn't the case that everyone in town already knew. I haven't decided 

But beyond that, I really like those costumes for them. RJ’s came to me last week when I remember that Orb pondering wizard meme from some years ago and I laughed for like 2 hours and I like Zara being confident enough to put on the witch mole.
