But wait! There's more!
Like not really, but there's this. While working on the Our Feature presentation I doodled some chibis of the characters, mainly to amuse myself. I wasn't sure if I was going to finish them but I guess here they are.
I guess these could be like the version of the characters that appear dancing during the credits of the movie or something lol.
There's of course the two couples first with Nicole and Ian having an actual good time with Nicole sharing some cool facts about ghosts which have Ian intrigued. Though to be fair, wouldn't you be interested in that too?
And there's also the memories of Rizzo and Guaditta having however much of a good time they can have existing in the celluloid. Pretty sad of course but if this helps, these are just memories of them, not necessarily their actual souls.
I got to work a bit on the way ghosts work in this work while making the pitch and I'll be posting some of that later but for now let's just say it kind of works as ghost semiotics.
But if I'm being honest the main reason I made these is that I wanted to have an actual good look* at the villains of the story that do appear in the pictures but, with one exception, are often out of focus or obscured by shadows.
The Lamb and the Priest. They do have names but we don't really need to know them yet. So, in the leadership of the branch of the cult that appears in the story, the priest is all about the deities and the belief system while the Lamb was more about putting the personality in the personality cult part. It did work for a while for them until it clearly didn't.
The priest at first was going to be based on Marshall Applewhite from the Heaven's Gate cult, though over time he became more of a generic evil cultist, not necessarily inspired by anyone in particular. As for the Lamb, well he did manage to keep some of Frederick “Zen Master Rama” Lenz from American Buddhism on him.
Fun fact, at first there was supposed to be a 3rd cult leader, here you can see The Lamb, the empty seat of the priest and you can also see an orangutan that's sort of based on Jim Jones from Jonestown fame. But I'm the end I decided for the final version of the story to reduce it to only two. So shippers, do your thing!. (Nah, please, just kidding)
*= Well, a clear view of one of them as the other is still casted in shadows, but that does talk a bit about their personalities and also by accident it gave me the opportunity to do this:
