Sounds cliche to say, but that's my truth 🥲 also, as a therapist I can confirm that going through it is you do that whole book ✨ 🙃there is soooo much in there that is healing and not even just for creative recovery ❤️‍🩹 I would totally do it again with a snake circle!

since you guys talked about being creative and "the artist's way". not sure if you know "shut up and write"? they're doing in-person as well as online events almost every day. the goal is to literally shut up and get some writing done in a group setting (everyone working on their own stuff, no sharing necessary, socializing afterwards is optional and if someone only joins for the writing part, that's totally fine). i join some of the sessions organized by the glasgow and l.a. group online every now and then and also attend the in-person events in my city. i find it very helpful and actually get shit done. :)

In regards to the person who asked for life advice… there’s a song I regularly go to for some clarity called Seasons by Future Islands and the quote I always think about goes like “people change and some people never do; and when people change, they gain a piece but they lose one too.” They also have a song called Balance which opens with “you can clean around the wound, but if you want it to heal, it just takes time. And you can call up to the moon, but if you want something to change, you gotta change your life. It just takes time.” And the music is like alternative indie pop. Or something I am so bad w genre titles. But you can dance or cry or both to them and their music is so magical. They’re one of my favorite bands of all time if you can’t tell lol. I haven’t met a single person who didn’t like them, no matter what their fav genre is. Ok done 🌲💨 gushing now.
