For Ruxandra's Besties episode (she's new to the tier, welcome queen!) The Snakes speculate on the trajectory of single Taylor's soon to be and already in process messy era. Plus, an explanation of why Zack is not a Haylor, and why we don't address conspiracy theories in public. Enjoy!

I expected drags and gags but this was such an intellectual and thoughtful discussion, especially with the Contrapoints reference, we love to see it. (Also Madeline pls accept my Twitter follow request 🫶)

I would be broken too if I screwed up my future with Taylor.

Love it! (Also, my ADHD loves you can now adjust the speed of the video and can have subtitles/captions!)

See this is why I’m partly relieved that Taylor is not doing meet and greets anytime soon. Because you KNOW that one of these absolute weirdos will stroll in and be like ‘TAYLOR WHY WONT YOU PUBLICLY ADMIT TO EATING PUSSY, I KNOW THAT YOU’VE BEEN COMMUNICATING TO ME ABOUT IT WITH SECRET MESSAGES’

When I was still a preteen, I started really getting into Taylor’s music and it coincided with my realization that I was a lesbian. Hearing the bridge to Love Story or Mine felt so affirming even understanding that she’s taking the male perspective for them. Flash forward to high school I was now involved in online lesbian spaces and heard Taylor being referred to as “Gaylor”. It was a pretty common thing in these spaces to somewhat jokingingly/somewhat seriously refer to female celebs as gay- I think it’s just a way for queer women to validate each other and recognize ourselves in larger society. These conversations were being had in insignificant spaces- small corners of tumblr, private lesbian forums, podcasts with only hundreds of viewers…I can relate to some of the young queer women now who are trying to find commonality in Taylor, but the difference is it’s now happening in larger spaces like TikTok and Twitter. Gaylors often have the explicit goal of convincing OTHERS to believe in their conspiracies too. I do wish they would ask themselves: If taylor is queer but she’s not publicly stating it, do you really think she would want a growing public pressure to comment on it?
