As a young swiftie I felt like she had no clue how great songs like Cold As You and Sad Beautiful Tragic actually were, because they weren’t fan favorites and no one really mentioned them to her in meet and greets or anything. It always felt like my favorite songs were ones that no one ever hyped and I felt they weren’t beloved even by Taylor 😭 I didn’t even have Cold As You on my surprise song wishlist bc she hasn’t played it since the Red tour (I think!) and that was the one and only time she ever played it otherwise.

The surprise songs on this tour feel SO much more special, because she’s playing SO many deep cuts and talking about them and what they mean to her 💗 it makes me feel like ANY song can be played and that makes me so excited!!!!

This is amazing! Cold As You is so underrated…I think it’s one of her best track 5’s…There I said it!

This makes me hope that The Other Side of the Door will have a chance 😊

Yes I agreeee! when she said cold as you is the best song on debut I started crying! That song with tied together with a smile got me through so much in middle school. So far that’s my favorite surprise song she’s done this tour.

Even though debut isn’t in the set list at least it’s still being loved on by Taylor, it’s heart bursting!

Her vocals are incredible I love "You're not Sorry" and "Cold as You" so hearing them was so exciting especially with her mature vocals. I can't wait to see what surprise songs she picks for the upcoming shows.

hearing taylor call cold as you and sad beautiful tragic some of her favourites really made me so happy!! im always going to be a sad song stan and i love that she now knows she can hype up those undiscovered supermodels

I think her actually having to go back through her catalogue for re-recording has given her such an appreciation for her older songs and I love it so much

I remember being 14 and being in my middle school feelings crying to that song over god knows what because I definitely didn’t have a love life then, but knowing even Taylor herself is going back to some of these songs at 33 to relate to where she’s at now is so heart warming to me. Her music is timeless!

Her performance of you’re not sorry made it a good choice as a surprise song . Even though it’s not my fave , hearing her delivery made me like it more

Vanessa Vieites

I always loved cold as you. It was one of the first TS songs that I downloaded onto my iPod touch in 2008/09 (along with Shouldve said no)!!

Cold As You is one of my favs. But if we are really talking about underrated deep cuts…… I’m gonna say it, I Almost Do has always been my fav from Red! It deserves its moment to shine, and I feel like it never gets talked about because All Too Well is the chosen one

This tour is truly for the fans and I'm loving every minute of it!

The insightful moments pre singing with her ad libing style speeches really enhance the songs and build context ... its truly fascinating to learn her current attitudes towards her discography in 2023 (and track how that's now altered or consistent with her previous sentiments, and why/how it's changed e.g rerecording, always loved it etc etc)

the surprise songs so far & taylor’s commentary on them is the gag of the CENTURY. i love knowing that we could get an insane deep cut like cold as you at any time. it makes watching livestreams every night so fun! i just know we’ll get the other side of the door at some point and i will DIE (in a good way)

Lizzy

Her live performance of Cold As You was so good. Can't wait for debut TV vocals

Angela H

I wonder if she is surprised by the fan reaction to the Debut songs performed live - like fans still know every word and are so excited to hear the deep cuts. Could it be changing her approach to that re-record (which seems so far to have been the least remembered, least mentioned, least hyped)?

Ally ❤️

Can I say that Debut is the re-record I am MOST excited for?! Her return to country music will be #chefskiss and she will clean up during awards season fr - Justice for Debut!

A bit of a side note: I think it’s really interesting that she’s basically revamped the arm lyrics routine she used to do! I think at the start of tour she was just playing whatever surprise song with no specific feelings involved, but given recent events I think she’s choosing these songs to help herself heal a bit & also give us a glimpse into how she’s feeling. You’re not sorry, cold as you, mad woman all are veryyy purposeful.

I totally appreciate all the surprise songs, her delivery and raw emotion makes them so much better (you’re not sorry!). Listening to Cold as you yesterday was a dream come true and it made me have this dirty dream: what if she recorded 2 versions of debut. An exact copy and the other just piano versions of the deep cuts with her mature vocals…
