Some discord news. (Patreon)

Well, you guys have asked and asked, and now we are delivering!!! For a  while, I in particular was hesitant about getting a discord up and going, because it just seemed like one more thing to commit to. But now that I'll have a bit more time on my hands, and we have such a cool and awesome community building here, I thought what the hell!!! Let's give it a shot!!!! The goal with our discord so far is to create an even more interactive space for our snake community - on Patreon is fun and all, but it's not the beset space for open conversation with each other. Hopefully once you guys are all on there, you'll be able to really make friends and hang out with your fellow snakes!!!! And with Zack and I, as well!!! 

Now, I am well aware that not everyone here knows how to use discord, and at first, it can seem really daunting and confusing, but do not let that discourage you from signing up! Once you get your feet wet in there, you'll see how cool and fun it is. Please please sign up even if you're nervous!!! I mean two days ago when I started setting it up I had no clue what was going on, now I'm just excited for everyone to come in so we can hang out in there!!! 

When you sign up, you'll be greeted by a series of rules of engagement. It is nothing serious at all - just the exact rules you'd expect. Don't be an asshole is a good overview of the rules lmfao. But there is one really really important rule that everyone is going to be expected to follow - this discord is for patreon members ONLY. That includes everyone, straight down to our beloved humble queens!!! I've limited everyone's ability to invite randoms in there, so you really shouldn't be able to, but just in case I missed something, please do not invite outsiders into the space. This is not about the paywall. This is about keeping the community tight and protected from outsiders who would come in and shit all over it, and I know you guys know what I mean!! There are some fucking weirdos out there (I, for example, discovered a discord when I was setting ours up, where they just post pictures of Taylor's body and make weird comments about it, and it's honestly probably a fetish thing. There was an entire channel dedicated to pictures of her fucking feet...We are NOOTTTT about that, and those people CANNOT FUCKING COME IN!!!!!!!!!!!!) We really pride ourselves on having built a community that can say what they really think about Taylor and her career without fear of being witch hunted or suspended from Twitter lmfao. So let's keep it just ours! Privacy sign on the door, and on my page, and on the whole world!!! 

Okay so when da hell can everyone join...well, we are planning on doing a mini launch tonight. We are planning on inviting in the mods that we have hand selected, our besties top tier members, and then a VERY small list of others that have honestly been randomly selected by me. For that list, it really was pretty fucking random lmfao, so being picked or not picked really means absolutely nothing other than I happened to see your name and put you down. This early entry thing is for one reason and on reason alone - so I can make sure I set everything up correctly and it's not a total shit show. I'm going to be there for hours tonight babysitting and making sure it's running smoothly. If all goes well, we'll start inviting more and more people. EVERYONE who is on Patreon will be able to sign up, so fear not if you don't get invited first thing!!!!! 

The thing is, we have an awesome community, and it's growing so big. Which we love. But, 1,000 people (WHICH IS STILL SO CRAZY TO ME!!!! WE LOVE OUR SNAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) all storming the beaches at once is kind of overwhelming. So in order to make sure the discord is as cool and fun as we want, we kinda have to stagger the invite process. The most fair and organized way to do this is honestly by the tier you've signed up for here on patreon!! Do not worry - this process is not going to take months, I swear it. I don't want anyone who's dying to be in the discord to be left hanging. Maybe a couple weeks at the ABSOLUTE MOST!! I will do my best to make it quick so everyone who wants to be in, can be in!!! I'm sort of a busy little lizard this week, but I am going to make time for this and really do my best.  

Zack and I are in this together, but I have literally mothered this discord for like three days now. Hours of my life spent setting it up and making sure it's all perfect and awesome and fun for you guys. So pleeaasseee don't be too upset if you're not in the first or second or even third wave of invitees - I am only trying to make the experience awesome and not just pure chaotic nightmare energy. When you get in there, it'll be easy breezy, and you'll actually have time to look around and set your account up and introduce yourself to your fellow snakes. If I let everyone in at once, trust me, that would not be the experience LMFAO!! I want everyone to think this is the best thing ever and that you finally have a swiftie community that will just let you fucking ROCK!!!! That's my goal!!! I thank you ahead of time for your patience during the process. We are going to have so much fun.

Now the first invite process tonight will be a total trial run. I'm thinking that I'm going to just go down the list of patreon members and invite them via dm here on patreon, so that I can clearly see who I have invited and who I have not - if you're super excited about this, maybe sign up for discord and get your account ready, so when your invite comes, you're just ready to ROCK!! I personally think the best way to engage with discord at first is on your desktop or laptop computer. The app is awesome as well, so get that shit installed on your phones!!!  

Sorry for going on and on and on - but I really was not kidding about this discord being like my baby. I've spent SOOO much time on it. Who else is insanely excited for this, like me?!?!?!  And who has any questions for me so far??? I'm here all day just fucking kicking it and getting it ready. Mason is away, I'm a lizard left to her own devices, and I'm ready!!!
