In this episode, The Snakes revisit the first night of The Eras Tour in Chicago. It was happy, free, confused, lonely, miserable, and magical. All at the same damn time. There's an in depth dissection of the extremely lengthy and involved setlist, a frank analysis of our fellow swifties around us, and an overall vibe check on what it's like to sit on the floor for the biggest tour of all time. This episode is not sponsored by our house down boots, which tore up our feet in ways you can't even begin to imagine. Are we getting video too or just audio?

I too wore an obscure pap look to my show to be original but I don’t think anyone remembered it lol 🥴

I mean My Tears Ricochet is really a hymn for Taylor herself, and the song itself also builds momentum. Putting aside the fact that it is my n1 song, it would be sacrilege to do half. I am a Europe fan so if I see it live I will die, I never thought we’d get the opportunity to see it performed, I was shocked that it made the main setlist

I saw her in Minneapolis night 2 last weekend and she sang DEAR JOHN YOU GUYS. It was a goddamn thrill. She never looked tired, did an amazing job. I didn’t listen to this fully until after I saw the show bc I wanted to be surprised a bit (I’ve been tracking bits and for sure the surprise songs online). After things went dark after Evermore I sat down and said to my friend “I think she’s gonna sing Enchanted next!” And then: SNAKES 🐍 !!!!! I was GAGGED. She took me to church during Don’t Blame Me. I was baptized and born anew. The 1989 set gave me an infusion of vital life force energy that I did not know I was missing. Bless her and her hit singles. I had a blast during Red, my pal who wasn’t as familiar or as much of a fan said that part felt a little long which seems fair. I was too transfixed to really notice. And omg I scream-sang the lyrics to All Too Well (10 min Version) as if Jake Gyllenhaal had ripped my 22 year old heart to shreds?!?! I truly don’t know where that came from. It was incredible. We had tickets in the lower bowl and per your experience, I highly recommend. It was fun to see the stage elements from that vantage point. I honestly have no idea how I got tickets, it was all very surreal, got an email from Ticketmaster I think after I registered for pre-sale, etc etc. it was worth every penny and I totally get why folks go to more than one show because it is so much to take in and absorb! And it’s just plain. damn. fun.
