Re: wonderland… I always thought the Alice in wonderland reference was because she wanted to use “Cheshire Cat smile” since Harry Styles is from Cheshire. Maybe that’s meth head math but that was my first thought upon hearing the song for the first time and I stand by that 9 years later

I figured that the 1989 color was inspired by her blue dress on a boat Pic. That was the same color dress she wore in her Out Of The Woods video. Fun fact, that was the last video she did from 1989, it's the same dress she wears in her first video of Reputation when she is crawling out of the grave.
