Something I've wanted to hear you guys talk about for a while is Taylor's tendency toward revisionist history or embellishment. Things like "Nobody physically saw me for a year," or when one of the big talking points on the 1989 press circuit was "I have a strict policy of never naming names in my songs." What are your favorite examples of this, why she does it, times you thought it was effective, times it backfired, etc.

I keep seeing all these weirdos stanning Joe bc they fell in love w him thru T's music. I never understood the allure bc there were snippets that made him (even in Rep) seem like a moody, pretentious f#ckboy that made her chase him, was ok w being her side piece, made her feel like a bad person at times & what bothers me the most strangely enough: he's been the "next big thing" for years bc he takes no risks. He's titties out for nothing. All his roles make him look good but he's forgettable. There's no cringe, no flavor, in even his early stuff. Even Robert Pattinson sparkled ✨️ & hated it in order to get his career traction. So, after that long tangent, was there a specific pt that you heard a song or interview BEFORE it was Jover that you were like...wow, this guy sucks?

Do you think the Taylor Swift “Lore” is having an outsized influence on swifties atm? Obviously the lore is a big part of the Taylor experience, but it should ideally never overshadow the music and some swifties or even the general public have become obsessed w it. Some people argue on Midnights the lore/inspiration is more interesting than the music, especially post-Joever. I know everyone calls it "Midnights" but lately I've been seeing a lot more stans on Twitter who deeply appreciate the production, the general album thematically, and otherwise. I understand Reputation had a similar initial response from the fandom and public with stans and lukewarm reception making it more mixed with a massive tour to follow and more discussion about the thought behind and execution of the album with a rise in enjoyment over time and wanted to know if you think Midnights could be the next Reputation in that sense of evolving reception, now that it's clicking for people. I don't think it will ever be as big, but I do think it is going to end up being better received as time goes on in an exponential enough way to warrant comparison to some degree. Then again, I know nothing and need to take notes from the historians, so I want to know your thoughts on this topic! Thanks!

I’m convinced Reputation is her best album IMHO because of their heavy contributions (especially Ready For It which I agree with Madeline is one of my favorite songs ever). It doesn’t seem like she’ll work with them again but she needs to! How do we make this happen?

With Taylor's massive unprecedented success this year-- what's next seriously-- her looks have changed too her lips at least and it appears she may go the way of such insanely altered megastars such as Beyonce or Madonna that can't stop trying to look younger and perfect-- it's all so creepy the amount of facial and body work these superstars do. I once read JLo spends 20K a month on her body and face and well just look at her.... Britney's distorted looks and all the others.... thoughts and opinions on all this work WOMEN in the industry feel compelled to undergo. Thank you!

I would love to hear about how you think the Rep re-record is going to be with the arc of the album being about a relationship saving her when now she is so larger than life and that relationship is jover…and makes her angry. She somewhat deified or at least wrapped Joe in a golden glow in all the songs - there was a vulnerability and hopefulness to this album even as it came out punching and guns blazing. I just hope she can still sing them with all the angst and pathos they deserve even now. Looking back on a past relationship when you’re super young is one thing, but it’s different when you’re looking back on something fresh (relatively). Hopefully she can go galaxy brain and see her situation of a relationship helping her at one time and then ultimately ending as something many people go through (just not while the world is watching). I love rep and want the re-record to be really good. Would love to hear your thoughts!

I know you touch on it a bit in 2014 PT. 2, but I am fascinated by The Agency and would love a whole episode deep dive of just their timeline/storylines. And the vocalists! Also, what is the process with the dancers? Are they as long term as the band and vocalists seem to be? Do they turn over every tour? Maybe this is discussed in the 2015, 2016, 2017 episodes (those are the only ones I haven't listened to yet) but I'm interested in the music family surrounding Taylor. I feel like they are so invisible to most of the world, but I have always loved seeing people like Paul and Amos be there all along!

Curious what you guys think of Taylor namedropping Kim in the Time interview. I obviously don't like Kim or Kanye but I am personally so burnt out on the 2016 drama and how Taylor has mythologized it to death over the years. I was kindof hoping this re-recording would be a chance to put the drama in the backseat and focus more on the quality of the record.
