On true crime- 100% agree, I heard someone on a podcast point out that with the majority of the most popular true crime is against women and the most popular demo is women- it’s almost like media saying “oh we can’t do anything about violence against women, let’s give other women popcorn!” all while profiting from someone’s pain.

I apologize if you already touched on this during the episode, but the question about biggest snubs got me thinking. How do you feel about The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights receiving zero nominations for the 2021 (I think) Grammy’s? I remember there being rumors that since he decided to play the Super Bowl instead, the Grammys basically shut him out. I am just a casual listener of his music, but I believe that was a huge snub and truly showed how flawed the Grammy voting is. That was one of, if not the best songs of that year, so for it to get nothing was egregious. I always think of questions after Phone a Snake comes out but it would be interesting to get your opinion on this. Thanks!

Biggest snub: avril lavignes debut lost to Norah jones for best new artist. Avril should be the most awarded artist in history but has never won a grammy

In response to Taylor’s audacity: I think it’s hard for Taylor to see because she’s been surrounded by the Taylor mania for a year, so I think she genuinely feels midnights is the biggest thing ever, and it’s hard for her to see how influential those other albums are as well, because in her mind: she made an album and then had an amazing year

I know this is old but with what you said about Gypsy Rose, she herself has said that she wishes she hadn’t killed her mother and she has told people who are in similar situations that it isn’t the right way to get out. Also, she said she finds it disturbing when people comment “she deserves it”. The people making a joke out of her and her trauma are disgusting.
