How’s the official version coming along? Plus... I think I messed up the Patreon settings 🤦‍♂️ (Patreon)

Hi everyone, this is August. Thank you so much for all your love and support for the game over this past period.

Right now, I am working on the official version of the game. The main storyline is down to its final 1/3. The new official version includes more branching storylines, and multiple new characters have been added as well. Once all the plot lines are fully written, I will move on to the actual development, including making the CG artwork.

I am really sorry, but as a solo creator, this is a massive undertaking for me right now. My day job keeps me very busy, so I can only work on the game in my spare time. Thank you so much for your patience, and please look forward to it.

By the way, regarding the Patreon settings, I think I messed up something early on, which is why I haven't received any payments yet (the current balance shows 0). Could you please check your side to see if any actual payments went through? I am truly sorry for the confusion and trouble this has caused.

目前游戏的正式版正在制作中。剧情主线还剩下最后的 1/3。在新的正式版游戏中，包含了更多的分支剧情，同时也增加了更多的人物。等把这些剧情全部写完之后，我就会开始具体的游戏开发，包括 CG 图的制作。

真的很抱歉，现在对我一个人来说，这确实是一个非常庞大的工程。由于我白天上班非常忙，只能用工作之余的时间来做游戏。真的非常感谢大家的耐心，也请大家继续保持期待。

顺便说一件重要的事：关于 Patreon 的会员设置，我前期可能弄错了，导致目前我并没有收到对应的款项，现在的后台数值还是 0。麻烦大家也核实一下，自己那边是不是已经实际扣款了。抱歉给大家带来困扰了。

the balance is 0 is probably because you didn't provide any updates, news, or reports since the first post and people simply stopped paying you for the lack of progress shown. I did't bother to do so, but people can smiply request a refund of their paymernt to you if you did not deliver what was promised. Seeing how you didn't post ANYTHING at all for 3 months, it's a total valid reason. Sure, you have work, life gets busy. Whatever, you're not the first creator to have busy schedule. But the lack of ANYTING at all for 3 months. You're just scamming people.

thank you for your blunt feedback. You are completely right about the communication—leaving everyone with zero updates for 3 months was my mistake, and I sincerely apologize for the silence. however, I need to clear up a major misunderstanding regarding the "scamming" part. The reason my balance is 0 is NOT because people saw no progress and cancelled their pledges. It’s a technical error. from day one, I accidentally set my Patreon to "Per Creation" billing. Under this setting, unless I manually publish a "Paid Post," Patreon never charges a single cent to anyone. Since I haven't made any paid posts during these months, no one has been billed at all. Anyone who joined a paid tier can check their billing history—you will see that you haven't actually spent a dime here. I’m not trying to make excuses about being busy. I just want to be completely transparent about the actual progress (which is why I posted this 1/3 storyline update today) and fix this billing glitch. Thank you for holding me accountable.

well im glad i finally got a reply from you after trying to reach you on 3 different platforms: X, itch.io, and Patreon. Getting silent treatments from all of them. I try to be understandable when it comes to creator on Patron because I understand it is a side-gig at its core. And only a selected few creators on here can do this full time. Usually that involves a whole team or studio. With that said, usually creators will still post some news or WIP to let the subscribers know they didn't just abandoned the project fully and comepletely ghosted the whole show. So forgive me for being irritated after 3 months of waiting. The first word I heard from you isn't an apology for the lack of communication. But rather a question about you not getting paid. I even tracked down a post about your game on a Chinese gay forum maybe posted by you or a supporter, idk. Even on that site there's 0 reply from the creator. So I'm glad to know you did not just make a throwaway account on patreon for a quick buck. The reason I'm still following is because: 1) it's free to do so, doesn't cost me anything 2) so I can see if you will post anything at all this year, which im glad to know you do do that once every 3 months. 3) so I can decide how will I manage my patronage to you. I will support you, this game I did enjoy. The setting and the storyline is erotic enough. But only after a couple months of watching and gauging how active you are ofcourse. I would even be willing to pay 10~20 dollars per month IF you are active enough. However, like I already said. Your invisibility shows me a promise to a disappointment in the end.

I get it, and you're totally right. Forcing you to track me down across three platforms just to get a reply is my bad. I completely messed up the communication, and I’m sorry for the silence. Also, I think my last message came out wrong. When I mentioned the $0 balance, I wasn't complaining about not getting paid or asking for money. I just wanted to prove that I hadn't taken a single dime from anyone while I was MIA. I didn't want anyone to think I took the money and ran. I’m working on this alone while juggling a full-time job. It’s tough, but that’s not an excuse for ghosting. Watching Him is definitely not abandoned—I’m currently writing the final 1/3 of the main story. Thanks for holding me accountable and for actually caring enough to write this.

Thanks for looking out for me! You had me worried, so I just checked everyone's payment history. Turns out, all records show $0. Since I was on the "Per Creation" model and never made a paid post, Patreon never billed anyone. So yeah, my balance has been 0 this whole time because no one was ever charged a single dime. I'm switching to a normal monthly subscription right now. Thanks a lot for catching this!

Since all the story branches are woven together and mess with the game stats, I figured it's best to just drop the whole official story at once, with all the paths included. That said, I'll probably still cook up even more branching paths after the official launch. Thanks for the solid advice!

i would say look at how your payments are set up mine show up blank for the time I was subscribed so it could be a your end issue with how you receive payments.

You nailed it! It really was a setup issue on my end, and because of that, Patreon never actually billed anyone. I just posted a full update explaining the details and how I'm switching things over to a regular monthly subscription next week.
