Des Moines Con 2025: MISSION SUCCESSFUL! (Patreon)

Got back from Des Moines Con last night. I’m still soooooo exhausted.

So many returners from last year!! I was very happy to see you lovelies again. Thank you so much for visiting and buying more things off me.

Hello to all the new lovelies who stopped by!! It was lovely to meet you guys and thank you for your support. I really appreciate you guys.

I got to meet Jennifer English (Shadowheart) and Neil Newbon (Astarion) on Friday because I knew Saturday was just gonna be a mad house. Jennifer and her squirrelly gf were so sweet and so nice. They may have convinced me to add Shadowheart’s spear to my ARM-ory (the arm I’m tattooing fandom weapons to lol). Neil I got to see near the end of the day. Luck was on my side that day. I was so flustered and clumsy, I hope he didn’t think I was nutty. He seemed so exhausted, poor dear. But he was so sweet, gracious, and patient with me <3

Some of you lot have come to my table to let me know that those who bought my Shadowheart and Astarion prints took them to get them signed by the VAs and I can’t stop being giddy about that. I am so damn flattered. I must be making it as an artist LOL I mean… I gave them my prints as presents and got mine signed as well sooooo XDDD

When I heard the voice of Amy Rose from Sonic was gonna be there, I knew my mission was clear. My three year old nephew loves Sonic and his fave characters are Tails and Amy. So I knew I had to get something signed. Sure he won’t understand it now but in the future, I hope he’ll realize just how extra awesome it is. I took my original Amy 4x6 card I made (I waited till Sunday to see if it would sell before I took it) and got it signed special for my nephew <3. Thank you Shannon Chan-Kent for being so sweet <3 My nephew will appreciate you even more as he gets older.

I got to officially meet Phil Hester, who signed my badge for me, and then a wild Ande Parks showed up LOL If you don’t know, Phil Hester is a writer at DC who wrote Green Arrow comics that Ande Parks drew for. So they are a dynamic duo, if you will. So excited to see you guys at O Con Expo next month!

All and all, a good con! I’ve been coming to this con since it’s first year and it’s only been getting better and better for me each year. My profits increased by $300, so no complaints what so ever!

I hope to be back next year!! So next up on the docket this year: O Con Expo 2025!
