Let’s Talk Shop! (A Blog Entry) (Patreon)

Hello! Happy Sunday and Happy Valentine’s Day (or Single Awareness Day if you’re like me lol).

So I’m going through the motions of making some updates. Just, like, in general.

I’m thinking about new online banners and a new icon. I’m thinking about and researching ways to make my packaging orders to be less wasteful, more recyclable. Designing actual thank you cards for orders instead of using discontinued leftover prints lol Having a cute Frodo stamp, maybe that says “Frodo approved”? Also having a new free 1” button made to put in orders... And then I started thinking about things I can improve upon on Patreon and perhaps developing a new tier and what the new tier can offer.

So yeah, LOTS of stuff going through my mind at the moment.

So let’s talk shop! Let’s talk about a potential new tier for Patreon! So, I can not afford to have a new sticker/button or prints per month to me mailing out myself. So I’ve been looking into the merch Patreon is providing. Now, there are two options. One option is merch being mailed out every 3 months, and the second option is merch sent out just one time after 3mo of being that tier’s patron.

Now, it makes sense to me to have small items mailed out every 3 months. It gives me time to think about what I want to, get it made in a timely deadline manner. However, a sticker/button and a print every 3 months doesn’t seem... enough to offer in a $8-$10 tier? Is that just me? SO! I’ve been thinking, maybe I should offer some video content for you to enjoy?

Do you like speedpaints/speeddraw videos? Or do you like ASMR, normal speed, drawing videos? Or are studio vlogs more your bag? I would love to hear what you think and what you’d like to see offered in a new tier!

And for those who have been asking, yes I do plan on getting back into Twitch streaming art. I’ve been going through some stuff. You know, seasonal depression and world events stuff. But I know I can’t be away from Twitch for too long. So, the plan is to update my overlays, have my cameras focused on the art and less on my face. Not that I hate my face but I feel very self conscious and sometimes I don’t know what to talk about or what to draw. I don’t know. Twitch can be exhausting for me, especially when cameras are on my face and I need time to recover from the exhaustion. 

So yeah, long story short: Yes, I plan to come back to Twitch at some point. Thank you for being patient and understanding.

Oh!! My amazingly talented bestie was kind enough to make the title graphics for my upcoming long-term fantasy comic, Marionette! It looks amazing and I can’t wait to share it with you in the near future. She did such an amazing job, way better than anything I would have slapped together, honestly. My graphic design skills are... passable. But my bestie is a graphic design queen. I will make sure to drop her socials when the time comes that I can show you the title graphics. Trust me. If you love 90s-00s anime and PS1 RPGs, I think the title design will spark that nostalgia <3 <3 ARGH! So good!!!! I’m so excited.
