Let’s talk about growth. (Blog Post) (Patreon)
Content
I’m sure I’ve talked about this in the past. So I apologize if this is being repeated.
So I’m thinking about things to do to expand my Patreon, content and new tiers and what not. Because funds are tight still because I had to cancel a few conventions already this year and no conventions last year (for OBVIOUS reasons), I can’t personally mail out patron monthly rewards myself. But Patreon is kind enough to offer a service to do printing and mailing out for you. HOWEVER, such items do not mail out every month but instead mails out every THREE months. So if that’s the case, it didn’t seem fair for me to open a new tier just for you guys to get stickers and postcards every three months UNLESS I had more to offer you during the down time.
So I may just have to cross the line into videos.
How do you feel about studio vlogs? I could film myself working and growing over the month so you can see what all I’m up to, see inside my messy studio and the upgrades that may come. I hear studio vlogs have been nice for people during the quarantine and also helps those who are lonely while they work. So if I could be good company for you while also showing you all what a freelancer like me does, that could be a good option for the new tier.
Speed Draws. So I’ve already started playing around with instagram reels, having posted a couple of quick speed draw vids there. But those were mostly digital. I mean there is one that’s traditional but it was just the line work and it was quick quick quick. Maybe those can be the ‘previews’ and if you want to see the full speed draw of traditional pieces, you can become a patron.
Sketchbook Tours! Would sketchbook tours make more sense in the first tier? Since the first tier is where I usually post the WIPs and sketches and ideas? And it would most likely be once a year since I take my time with my sketchbooks.
I must have talked about this in a previous post. Again, I’m so sorry if I have lol I’m thinking out loud at this point.
Hope you all have a good weekend!
