Sketch Studies: Spidey Wedding (Patreon)

The client and his partner are Marvel fans, very big on Spider-Man. So I started off with thumbnail sketches, figuring out composition and pose. And then I began to figure out how the vintage comic style worked. In my mind, the vintage comic style makes more sense in this commission than my usual style because it can easily be translated to Spider-Man. I’m sure it’ll be even more so when I put a spidey mask pulled halfway up on the groom.
