May 2022 Updates (BLOG POST) (Patreon)

Hey everyone!!

I’m so sorry for the radio silence. Time got away from me after Free Comic Book Day on May 7th. So here are some updates as to what has been going on.

1) Recovery.

Since Planet Comicon Weekend, I have been dealing with a terrible cold. I’ve taken a couple of tests to make sure it wasn’t Covid and they all came back negative, thank goodness. So my allergies just decided to go haywire and trigger a terrible cough and cold. Well I’m back to normal! I still have allergies but at least I’m not stuffed up and coughing. I still wear a mask when I go out too. Extra precaution.

2) Babysitting/Carpooling

I help a friend carpool their kiddo to and from school. He’s got like a week and a half of school left and then he’s moving out of the city with his dad so I’ll have a little more free time.

But on top of that, I have my nephew to look after while his parents are working during the day. He’s still too young to be doing much so I can’t stop to work on the go like I want to. 

3) Kitty Foster

If you don’t follow me on instagram, I have taken in a little kitty as a foster!! He’s a sweet tabby boy that I’ve named Pippin. He’s gotten so big now, finally being weened off the milk and can use the litter box like a champ! Still looking for his forever home. But if I can’t find one by August, well, I’ll have a new kitty baby. Frodo is still unsure about him and has only just recently started to cuddle with me again. He’ll get used to him eventually but it has been a week, let me tell ya lol

So that is what all has been going on. What can we expect in the near future?

1) Online Shop REOPEN

I had to close my shop temporarily while I worked Planet Comicon and Free Comic Book Day. Now that things have slowed down a bit, and still waiting to hear back from C2E2 in Chicago in August, I can go through all my stock and get ready to reopen the online shop. My hope is to have everything ready and the shop open either by Friday the 13th or May 16th. I’ll keep you posted!!

2) FINISHING COMMISSIONS

I have a few commissions I had to pause due to convention prep and family stuff. But they are all about 80% finished, which I’ll be able to roll out fairly quickly. For those who commissioned me recently, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support.

3) Physical Copies of Marionette and Crafty DEVILS releasing this Fall!!

I’m so so excited for this milestone to occur. Ever since I was a young lass, I’ve wanted to make comics and have printed copies to sell. And now that dream is finally going to happy. Chapter 1 of Marionette, my DnD inspired fantasy, and collection 1 of Crafty DEVILS, my 4-panel slice-of-life comedy. Sooooo sooooo excited!! I’m also almost done with the thumbnails v. 2 for chapter 2 of Marionette. My goal is to have 3 chapters done and have preorders for trades that people can purchase by Spring 2023. So fingers crossed for that.

4) Monthly Coloring Sheets RETURN

I know I fell off on my coloring sheets. I apologize for that. I got caught up on all my other stuff and convention prepping that coloring sheets had to be put on hold. So the plan is to start things up again by having a poll for June’s prompt and to get coloring sheets made again.
