Quick Little Vacay + What’s to Come (Blog Post) (Patreon)

I’ve been under a lot of stress recently, personal family stuff, so I needed to take a quick little vacation.

My friend in Colorado was kind enough to offer me a place to stay to get away for a couple of days and it was certainly well needed. I feel relief and rejuvenation.

While I was away, I got to check out Colorado Springs Comic Con for a little bit, meet new people and make connections. And I got to enjoy the scenic mountains with coffee and a cat on my lap. <3

Also while I was away, I was inspired to do a piece on the game Stray. You know, that game where you play a kitty in a dystopian robot world ;D I think for this piece, I’m gonna do it in a painterly style. So wish me luck on that!

My next convention is Twin Cities Con in Minneapolis, which isn’t till November. So I’ve got some time for some prep and new pieces.

I’m making good progress on issue 2 of Marionette!! I’m very pleased with how it’s turning out. There are moments where I’ll be able to practice drawing background since it’s something I need to work on, especially for this type of fantasy comic where you want to feel part of the world I’m creating.

My goal is to have physical copies of my Marionette and Crafty DEVILS issues next year. In the mean time, I should figure out a way for you lovelies to read the comic online. The pages are not formatted in WEBTOON style. I may just have to bite the bullet and make a personal website where you can read the comic as it updates. I’ll let you know once I figure out my options.
