🐝✨ Hello my dear friends! ✨🐝

I'm thrilled to unveil my latest creation inspired by the buzzing world of bees - the Beehive House Lamp and Box! 🌼🍯

Picture this: a stunning honeycomb suspended above a stylized tree branch, floating amidst a garden of vibrant flowers. Surrounding this whimsical scene is a hexagonal fence, echoing the beauty of nature's own design.

But that's not all - this design isn't just eye candy. It's practical too! Use it as a multifunctional box or transform it into a charming lamp by adding LED strips inside and passing the cable through a discreet hole at the back.

Take a closer look and you'll find delightful details like a painter-style ladder for access, classic roofed windows, a side chimney, and four complementary flowers adorning the design. And let's not forget our adorable little bee friends buzzing around!

My general settings.

2 perimeters

10% infill

0.16 layer height

outer and inner brim for small contact area parts to the buildplate.

glue the parts with superglue or gloop or epoxi

Does anyone else have problems with the fence? I tried it with brims, rims, fresh cleant plate, glued plate, with support ... But nothing helps. Some parts always jump from the plate. 🤔

i m printing on a x1c . just added brim to the fencing.

I tried it now with Meta PLA and it seams to work with this material.

a tight brim? or the standard brim? I usually keep my brims at like a 3mm loop and then a .5 from the object. It's been working for everything ands to give me the look and help that I need, but I'm not really not of a of the Brims that you have to baby sit for days. lol

i used 5 mm brim. smooth plate with glue. speed 200 mm/sec . temp 230 . most of it bambu filament

There is a smaller hole in the tree that also lines with the hive. But I didn't find the piece that connects to it. Did I miss something? Everything printed perfect but the random hole in the back of the hive plus hole at bottom of tree, I didn't find a spare part from the print unless I missed the part

Maybe you are referring to the hole that is used to pass the cables in case you want to use LED strips?

Maybe. I mean it does line perfect with the bottom tree hole too, but that would make sense. I was just worried I missed something structural. Now I can finally piece it and glue it. Thanks for the reply!

I used 20 cm led strip. I had from another old project a led strip roll I bought on Amazon, I cut only 20 cm and used for this project.

Hello everyone! Any recommended led light strips to connect through the back? I’m using a 3.28 ft 6500k USB led light. It’s a bit difficult to get through the hole without severing cord and reconnecting. Any tips, tricks or products? Thanks for the fantastic design. We love it!
