It's Saturday night, and I'm thrilled to share my latest design with you. I've been working hard on this project, and I'm really pleased with the result. Leo has been having a blast with it, throwing dice and even butterflies into it!

As with all my previous designs, I've created not just a charming house but also an adorable character to live in it. This time, it's a lovely monarch butterfly. I absolutely love this design because it's not just a cute house with a lovely tree shape, but also a fun dice tower. Plus, it has a working swing, adding a playful touch to the design.

As always, I've designed this piece to be printed without supports. It's printed in parts and easily assembled using superglue or similar adhesives.

For printing, I used layer heights of 0.12mm and 0.16mm with 10% infill for most parts. For the tree top, I used Lightning infill with 40% density to reduce material usage.

For small parts and the fence, I used an 8-perimeter brim, always ensuring a very clean build plate with a layer of hairspray to improve adhesion.

I'm excited to share this design with you. The files for printing are available to all my subscribers. I can't wait to see your prints and how you bring this charming little house to life!

Thank you for your continued support, and happy printing!

I can't wait to print this. I am in love. Thank you!

I was wondering if you might consider designing a door to be used, in case we don't want to use this as a dice tower? Just a thought.

Koza Design

You read my mind... Lol. I'll post it soon. Also the tree top without the hole.

Joyce Carter

You are the GREATEST.... I was downsizing it a little... and it's too small for dice anyways now... and I am thrilled with the conversion to just a fairy house possibility. Even something that plugs into the tree top, to fill the hole.. like a piece of tree limb or something would be amazing.

I'm having trouble with printing the fence. I have enlarged the brim, slowed down the speed, etc. but still having adhesive issues around layer 67. Anyone else?

Koza Design

Have your tried using hairspray or gluestick on the buildplate? That improves the adhesion a lot

Gege

excellent enfin de retour <3

Joy Freismuth

Yes, agreed! That would be so great!

bill roy

have you designed a cap for the tree?,love the tree ,printing as we speak, maybe a door?

Koza Design

I'm testing a new tree top without the hole and the door right now.

I have a new sliceworx build plate so I can't use anything on it. I have tried to print the fence 5 times with different settings and still get the lift about 25% done. I have printed defenses on her other houses with no problems, but I cannot seem to get this fence printed.

Koza Design

Have you tried using hairspray? It use to improve adhesion very well.

Kim Siegel

I have a brand new sliceworxs print bed, you can't use hair spray on it

Kim Siegel

did you not read my reply?

Koza Design

To be honest, I know nothing about this buildplates brand so I can't suggest how to improve adhesion on it. What I've seen on my experience is that also the filament matters on adhesion, as example, on my Bambu buildplates the Polymaker brand PLA have much better adhesion than Sunlu PLA or Isanmate. Maybe you can also try changing the your filament brand. That probably help either.

I have the sliceworx plate and it worked for me on the A1. I've had problems before on the P1S, but PetG stuck better on my P1S (and Sliceworx plate). I've heard others use manual supports on the edges, but what worked for me was increasing the brim to 10mm and using the Sliceworx plate on the A1. If increasing your brim doesn't work, maybe you could use your old plate with some hairspray if you still have it? Yeah, I wouldn't put hairspray on the Sliceworx.

my bottom leaves didn’t print with the hole all the way through for the dice to go through. Did I miss something?

Koza Design

I've posted two versions. The original one that is on this post attachments is the one with the hole and a second version in another post that is a modification without the hole and a door to make a fairy house of it. Maybe you printed the second version.
