The bleeding eye design is ready, and I’m excited to finally share it with you! This articulated keychain is super fun, with the eye moving wildly like a fidget toy. 👁️ I created two versions: one for multicolor printing and another designed to make the details, especially the iris, pop on single-color printers. I tested everything using Polymaker PLA with 3 perimeters, variable layer height, and 15% infill. I hope you enjoy printing it as much as I enjoyed designing it! As always, feel free to share your prints—I’d love to see your versions. Let’s get spooky! 🎃

I love it!!!

Cuanto hora para hacer así lleno? Estoy de vacaciones y regreso jueves.

Love it. Bloodshot eyes would be fantastic too😉

Kim Siegel

Love it, but is there a trick to getting it to move in the socket? I cn break the seal on the back but I can't get the eyeball to move

Koza Design

Have you printed at original scale? Which printer u used?

Kim Siegel

original scale on Bambu Ps1

Koza Design

That's weird, I did tests at 60% scale on my x1c and still working. Maybe it's your first layer or extrusion multiplier. Try using a lower temp. Some filaments over extrude when printing with higher temps. Also check you don't have a brim enabled

Alex

I'm getting all kinds of crazy hours just to print one in full color. Any chance you could design it to be printed as separate parts and assembled?

Janice Frisella

This is a great file! Did you print it at .16 mm?

Koza Design

I printed it with variable layer height

Koza Design

With only one part on the buildplatr, look at the top toolbar the variable layers height option, select adaptive from the menu. Then fill the buildplatr with copies.

Janice Frisella

ok, thank you......I will do that on the next run.....hopefully it will cut down the time for me.

Koza Design

That helps to keep a balance between speed and quality

Mitch Brink

I would love that as well.

Danielle Sanchez

How do I get the eyes to move? Bambu a1, didn't scale it.

Koza Design

They should move easy. I even tested at 50% and still move. So, maybe your first layer thickness is too thick or something is happening that is merging the eye to the exterior. Can you send a picture to the chat app of the eye from the back side?

Mitch Brink

I printed 9 of these overnight and they are everything I hoped for. Just awesome!

Mitch Brink

Mine are loose right off the plate.

Mitch Brink

Does anyone have a technique for getting the eyeball loose if it's seized up? Just finished 16 hours of printing and I can't get them loose. I broke one while trying.

Koza Design

If you scaled up should be even easier to move as the gap increase. Check that you haven't had any layer shift on your print. Also you can try to dip them in hot water and move the slowly. Sometimes this technic can work.

Mitch Brink

Great idea on the scaling. Will definitely do that from now on. When I woke up the Bambu PiS was siting idle, the print only halfway done, saying there was a power outage. But there wasn't. I resumed it and I believe there was a layer shift that caused the issue. Anyway I wanted to share my solution. Wide-jaw pliers on the iris of the eye and the white circle on the back, so you are only gripping the eyeball. Then rotate the red part and it snaps loose.
