Hey friends!

Our little wolf finally has a proper home… and not just any home! A cozy forest scene, a warm campfire, and a giant glowing moon watching over it all. And guess what? I turned that moon into a lamp!

Yup, I got inspired last minute and made the moon hollow, with no infill and no bottom layer, so you can slide in a tiny LED strip and turn it into a magical night light. The rest of the design prints easily with just 8% infill, and of course, I kept the hexagonal base so it connects perfectly with other houses—like the grasshopper’s picnic basket.

If you're using Bambu Studio, my file already has the moon set up correctly for printing as a light shell. And I’ve posted some pics in the app group showing how it fits together, including with the picnic base.

Hope you love this wild and cozy scene as much as I do!

I can’t print it. All the pieces are on the plate except for 1 that doesn’t fit. I can’t separate the pieces to do them in their own color.

Which slicer are you using? And which of the two 3mf?

Jennifer Bigley-Hobbie

I have cura, creality, and orca-flashforge. I have a single extruder on all my machines

Koza Design

I've already checked the Generic 3mf file with Cura and i have no issues with the file. the model that appears on the buildplate is the moon, the other parts are outside the buildplate and to print them you only need to move them to it. The reason they are outside the buildplate is cause some slicers can handle several buildplates on the same file and recognize those parts on their own buildplate

This is amazing and I LOVE that it connects to the grasshopper house! Any chance of updating the other recent house bases to also fit together?

Just can’t over how amazing this is. This is exactly what I was thinking when you asked for recommendations and never thought it would be so great! Love it!!!!!!!

This is fantastic!

I love the designs! I can't seem to find the peice that you show that fits into the wolf base to clip to the other bases like the picnic basket. Where can I find it?

Koza Design

You can find the connector piece in the grasshopper picnic house file

What filament did you use for the moon?

Tina

I can't find the file for the hollow moon. I have downloaded but when I open in Bambu, the moon looks solid on the bottom. Unsure how to insert the lights. Thanks,

Koza Design

If you use my settings, the moon is already configured without infill and without bottom layers to make it hollow. I also add a brim to increase the contact area to the buildplate. In that way you can insert a small led strip inside and the cable can pass through the rocks hole in the back.

Thank you

I'm setting this up to print. What size did you print the wolves here? Thank you :)

Leanne Wicks

Thanks! I'm looking forward to printing the moose too. Just waiting on a filament delivery.

I love all the 'homes' they are the favorite of my daughter and all her little homeschool friends! Is it possible to create a file of the ' moon' that is smooth? My daughter thinks this would be an amazing African Safari set up if the moon was a sun. I told her it doesn't hurt to ask! She said she will 'deal' with the trees not being 'right' if she can have a sun. Love the minds of 10 year olds! If not; do you have any plans on creating an African Safari diorama? She would also love something along the lines of a Treehouse in a Rainforest; or something for the Australian Outback! Just some other ideas!

What light did people use to light up the moon? Links appreciated ;)

Can someone share a link to which LED light fits the hole in the base?
