This is the second version of the heart hands design. This is a functional model, which, in addition to decorating spaces, is used to place a telephone and you can put a photo, drawing or note in the center. This design is printed without supports but I recommend using a skirt to give the design more stability.4 files are included, one for the right hand, another for the left hand, the connector and a template (jig) as reference to cut the sheet or photo that you will place in the space. My settings were:2 perimeters, .2mm layer height, 5% gyroid infill.

how do you use the connector as i can not for the life of me see how it would connect the two hands

Koza Design

In the fingers of each hand has 3 holes where you need to put the connectors to join the hands

But the connector i downloaded is not a pin , do i have to squeeze then push into each hole ?

Koza Design

I used pliers to push into the hole of one hand and them align the other hand and push them together.

I used pliers to push them into the holes on the fingers of one of the hands, then i aligned the other hand and push hard. If it is still very difficult, you can scratch the edge of each hole a little so that they join more easily

I have to agree. I squeezed the end together until it touched itself and no way was it going in the hole. The hands printed perfectly and I was planning on making several. Maybe I can find a dowel rod that size to use. I would like to see more picture frames. Something functional. With your skills you could make some really neat ones. I'm about done with the ninja turtles and mario's.

the pins fits very well to keep both pieces together, in case you cannot place them with pliers it is probably that they are being a little larger due to either the first layer or the thickness of the extrusion. You could try scaling the pin a bit to a smaller size. About functional designs, do you have any other suggestions besides some picture frames? would love to know what you have in mind.

Well now I feel like a fool. I was using the connectors for the bigger print in the 70% hand. I just printed the right connector and it fits perfectly.

Came here from STLFLX to see how this works, as STLFLX had no directions. I see you have it at 70%. Do you reccomend 70% over 100%?

Koza Design

The original model without the picture frame and phone holder option was done at 100% and when I made this modification I needed to adjust the scale to fit to the phone size better
