Now I am testing the prints and the acrylic glue against water leaks. Unfortunately I found that there is water seeping into the print however there is no residual water on the outside. Therefore I will have to do a new test increasing the number of walls and the amount of solid top and bottom layers and maybe increase the infill a bit to give it less chance of failure.

It is my understanding that 3d printed things are not water tight for the same reasons they are not food safe. Unavoidable gaps in layer lines.

Koza Design

I had a design fully airtight for a vacuum system I designed and worked perfect. In case of food safe its another story as the material is food safe but exactly, the gaps in the layer lines can accumulate waste and produce fungus. In case of Aquariums the bacteria systems needed place to reproduce, so I think maybe its nos a big problem in this case. But as im not expert I need to make the test and see what happens

I really hope it works. This would be really cool for a beta fish..
