Hello everyone! I'm very excited to share with you the design process of a Halloween skull mask for 3D printing that I recently made. This project was very special to me, as my son participated in choosing the design.
The first image I show you contains 3 sketches or design proposals that I created. From these options, my son chose the one he liked the most, and that was the one I decided to carry out.
The next image shows the 3D modeling based on the selected sketch. As you can see, I worked carefully to capture all the details and make sure that the mask was as realistic as possible.
In the following images, you can see the mask already printed in 3D. For this, I used white PLA. Then, in the other images, you can see the finished mask, painted with acrylic paints. I'm very happy with the final result and I think it looks amazing!
I made the mask design in two sizes, so that it can be used by both children and adults. However, I recommend adjusting the scale of the mask according to the particular needs of the person who is going to use it.
In addition, once the mask was painted, I added a 6mm wide elastic ribbon to make sure it stayed in place when worn.
In the post, I attach the files in STL, generic 3MF, and 3MF for Bambu Studio formats, so you can download them and create your own skull mask for this Halloween.
I hope you enjoy creating and using this mask as much as I enjoyed designing it!
